I was going to order a second Ultimate Punk to display loose but based on what I read lately, probably best just to keep the moc one.

If enough customers make a formal complaint, do you think they will do it? This Vietnam shift has been a total failure.

No chance. The Vietnam stuff is here to stay, particularly given everything that has gone on in the US this week and the likely economic relationship between the US and China going forward.
Hopefully the Vietnamese factory settles down a bit soon and gets to grips with things.

I’m guessing even higher Mattel execs would have to go over there to see what’s going on.

Yeah, absolutely, it would be a C-suite level decision, but given the way the wind is blowing economical and politically, I can't see any chance production heads back to China anytime soon. www.openbom.com/blog/why-are-manufacturers-leaving-chinaThis is an interesting read around the wider movement of manufacturing out of China.

I just read a portion of that. I’m a little busy right now but I’ll get through the article. Yeah it’s just a changing of the times. I will say quality was pretty damn good coming out of China for these figures. It stinks that 15 years into the game (I think?) that quality is now dropping off. Really hope this is just because of a first year adjustment phase. Gotta remember if we keep buying the figures at a high rate, things MAYBE won’t change. Then again, like I initially said, hopefully it’s just first year blues.

I've been fortunate to not have any of the massive problems people have reported on here, but I will definitely be more selective if these issues persist. Fingers crossed it works itself out for everyone's sakes.

The figs def feel cheaper now, too, IMO. I wonder where Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line is manufactured nowadays. I have a cousin in law that works for Hasbro, and he gave me a couple of figures, and the plastic seemed softer and maybe a bit gummy compared to older figures.
