So, how many public meltdowns will we get when Macho isn’t shown? Should have said Python power Hogan mint on card posed with title around his waist But if macho is announced or shown it will probably just be the WrestleMania 7 ultimate edition and maybe the other from series 8 in the greatest hits wave otherwise I don't expect anything other than that of him till at least maina |

Dang I missed the good discussion not really, but i want to clarify something, i was just saying, its a thread about upcoming figures, lineups, etc. but it gets off topic waaayyyy too much. Like now, lol The title originally was longer, and included 'General Discussion'. This was created because a couple other previous threads were derailed as off topic and got removed or locked that had some good information - Leaks and lineups and such - so this was created to ensure that virtually anything goes. I just don't want this to get locked and so far the mods have been good about simply removing any offending posts, which I for one appreciate. If this is about figures, or peripherally about figures, I figure it is valid. Just my opinion though. |

What is with all the negative posts toward Macho? The last few years have shown that the Super Card Game is the 1st sign someone has signed a Legends Deal. Captain Lou, Dudley Boys, Headbangers, Sandman all showed up there first. And roughly a year later we got figures of them, because we know that is how long it takes Mattel to get figures in our hands.
Jesse Ventura just signed a new deal and first shows up in the Super Card Game. Look at CM Punk. Same deal. It’s been a year since he came back and we are just now getting figures of him.

Mattel cancels the Macho Ultimate on July 17, 2023.
Savage was not in Super Card Season 10 which came out Nov 2023.
Fast forward to last week Savage shows back up in Season 11 and the next day the WWE post a 3 hour You Tube video celebrating his career. They also posted Happy Birthday tweets for him on their page.
These are signs that he is back with the WWE.

They referenced him on TV several times AND had the Wrestlemania moment. But I promise you there is NO WWE Generico merchandise coming. Supercard is a lead, yes. There is definitely precedent for that one. But it's not a guarantee and holding your breath based on a whole bunch of other factors that have no precedent is a surefire way to disappointment. Hope for the best, but expect the worst. If Macho is back under contract, we will find out when we do. But everyone sitting on here screaming in anticipation now, when we have no surefire way of knowing or not... This is why Steve had to show up for damage control after we didn't get Steiners reveals. Calm down. Please. I don't want to do that again. |

WWE 2K24 was released on March 8, 2024. That is less than a year from when Mattel canceled the Ultimate in July 2023. The game was probably too far in development to remove the Macho Man. Savage also has to be unlocked in the game, and is not just regular legend.
We would be having the same discussion right now about Jesse Ventura if he didn’t publicly announce he signed a Legends Deal. The Super Card Game is the easiest way to get a new legend out. It takes time for the WWE to release merchandise of people, unless you are a returning star on TV.

That said, if they were to somehow start making Generico figures, they'd give us one Elite in his standard gear, a couple of ME figures (including a chase Blunerico)... but the Ultimate Edition would be the one-off Final Battle gear with damaged mask alternate head (no blood), his normal mask as an accessory, and overcoat as cloth goods. And EVERYONE would complain about it. |
