I was just flying in from Baltimore. It was a good trip, albeit a little cold. Anyway I actually found an Elite 96 Hogan on my way to the Airport. It was too late to put it in my check bag so I had to carry it on the plane. TSA stopped me, excitedly asking what it was and where I got it. I told him Target and he immediately left his post to pick one up! (I tried to warn him that there were none left, and this one I had to mug a 6 year old to get, but he didn’t listen. He was just running out humming Real American, dude. So as I’m walking to the gate I can sense that I’m being watched. It turns out that the Pilot of my fight was stalking me. He threatened to bar me from the plane if I didn’t make with the Hogan. I refused brother. Just then, another pilot started arguing with him, saying if anyone was taking the Hogan it was him. They got into a fight over a Hogan that didn’t even belong to them!! Needless to say they find a new pilot. I figure that I should hide the…figure (tee hee) to avoid any other unpleasant interactions….Well I’ll give it to you straight. That flight made the plane ride from hell look like a bike ride. Everyone wanted my Hogan. I literally had to fight people off with my homemade Hogan fist helmet. I tried to tell them that they could find them in stores or online, but Hulkamania was running wild all over that plane, man. Then on the way home some truck driver kept trying to run me off the road. He kept yelling about his nephew. It was weird, Jack! Now I’m relaxing at home in my giant yellow underwear and meat warming shoes, relaying this 100% true story to you all. Has anything like this ever happened to you???

I find myself doing that quite a lot lately. Really adds credence to the old saying, “the chase is better than the catch.”

don’t get me wrong, initially i was all about the set. loved the movie when i was a kid. but the way that everything got handled with it(delayed shipping, wwe shop orders coming and going first, etc), i just kinda…lost interest. it’s still a cool, nostalgic set and all. but ya know, after mooonths of waiting…meh. i think i’m just gonna keep it in the outer box and save it as trade fodder/something to sell someday if i NEED a little extra money. i dunno. it is what it is.

I know you won’t believe this, but yes. The EXACT same thing happened to me. Every. Single. Word.

Absolutely. I will never give that Houston site the time of day. I messaged them asking what the hold up was and then they cancelled my order without my permission, than they sent me an aggressive email.
I had to message them about three times about the refund until I got a message back from them. I told them that I missed out on getting this item when I had the chance on the WWE shop website at a much cheaper and more reasonable price because I expected my order with them to be fulfilled. I told them how inconvenient an experience it was to deal with them and they were completely unapologetic. I had to pay an extra £40 to a scalper to get this item.

So in summary, avoid this Houston website at all costs. They don't keep you in the loop, they do the bare minimum to explain anything, they do things at their own pace and are completely unapologetic. You don't need the aggravation of doubting if your order is going to be fulfilled by them.


Yes I got this item from a scalper at near the maximum that it's going for on eBay. I got it and kept it in the box and left it out for display. Was great to finally have it in my hands.

It definitely wasn't worth the aggravation though. I think the worst part of the process was the people that flocked on here that got over excited and showed off about it immediately after they were able to get it on the Mattel Creations website when it went on sale in July. Some of us did exactly the same process that everyone else did, we were just unable to get it. I didn't deserve to be told "ughh well that's on you, that's your problem" by some of the smart Alec's that were just plain lucky to get this item on pre order when it first launched.

I also hated the hype surrounding it in July, all of the YouTube influencers hyping it up on Social media, a week ahead of the pre order date, getting too many people's attention, which made it even harder to get.
That dissapointing feeling I had when I wasn't able to secure this toy when it first went on sale. Then being bothered that I was going to have to eventually get it from someone on eBay at double the price.
It put me off toy collecting alot at the reactions from people on here.

Still it's nice to know that I finally have it.

Hopefully next year they have a SDCC exclusive that doesn't interest me so that I don't have to pull my hair out again trying to secure it. I think only Captain Lou Albano, Cyndi Lauper and Jesse The Body Ventura would get my attention. Maybe Powers of Pain Barbarian or Ultimate Edition Asuka.
