I don’t totally agree with the scalping statement. There will be people who don’t buy this now. There will be people who want to get another one. There will be people buying these with the intent to sell. It’s not the same as walking into Target and buying all the UE Macho Man stock they have and throwing it up online, and one can only blame themselves for not buying now, but it’s still a bit of scalping if you can sell it for $70, $80, or whatever it may be. Hmmmm, I just don’t agree. For me scalping is limiting opportunities for others to buy it at retail pricing for personal gain. If I buy 5 Cody’s, you can buy 5 Cody’s, and the next guy can buy 10. Same thing with ring! If someone chooses not NOT to buy now, then should I just sell them a Cody or ring for retail cause I’m a good person and/or feel sorry for them? No way, my money will have been tired up for a year… You state “if” you can sell it $70 or $80, in this situation, the BUYER has created his/her own limited supply, not the SELLER in the case of scalping. Quite honestly, we should be calling it “buyer stupidity”, not scalping. "Buyer Stupidity" honestly really like that. There is a difference between that and "scalping" I have been dumb before and had to shell out extra cash because I didn't pull the trigger and later regretted it. I have also sold older figures i've kept in great condition for a profit, I don't consider that "scalping either" IMO for this figure and the new gen arena anyone who claims people are scalpers for trying to sell it are just plain wrong. |

I think the Jazzwares AEW supreme edition is better value for money considering you get 2 figures in the set. I wonder if anyone who order the supreme version didn't want to order this one. With the money in the bank, $10 upcharge compared to other ultimates, and a year to work on just this figure. I think mattel is going to go all out on this guy. It will blow away anything jazzwares puts out. |

It’ll have a Slaughter type outer box with Ultimate style image on the spine so you can still bookend it.

As a MOC collector,the extra set of legs doesn't do me any good. I think from what we've seen so far the Ultimate looks better imo,so that's why I went with this one instead of the AEW version but if the Supreme ends up on a Ringside sale and to good of a price to pass up ill have both lol.

Honestly part a little has a hard time wanting to pre order this, because of how awesome his AEW figures were. I feel the articulation would have a hard time matching up to those figures especially with the Supreme figure that has more articulation and more customization which I am all for, and I have already pre ordered. However the fact that Cody will be the first person to have a Supreme and Ultimate figures of around the same look I would regret on missing out on that opportunity to own both and compare the two.

But Mattel got me since I ordered 2 It’s literally almost the price of two, but at least it’s a cool figure from his return match plus a soft goods jacket. Competitively it’s either this or the AEW Supreme Cody. That one is basically two figures in one but I still prefer Mattel over Jazwares. |

Funny that a couple days after I told my friend I wasn’t looking to spend $50 on a figure when talking about the Supreme pre-orders I go and buy TWO of these Cody’s. I can accept it for special executions like this as opposed to the standard for the Supreme line where I think retail is starting at $40. Also helps that I’m super into Cody since his return so I’m itching for new figs of his.
