I wouldn't say that this one would be a test personally. I think Jeff Jarrett figure's in the Mattel line have been wanted for a while, I think it'll do just fine. I know he was a big star, but two Fiends in the space of a few months/year were probably more of a test to non completists.

Jeff has been a big want from collectors. This will move.
However, I just want a 1999 “Don’t Piss Me Off” Jarrett, or a 2000 “Slap Nutz” Jarrett. Obviously we wouldn’t get either of these shirts from Mattel but it’s the look I most associate with Jarrett.

O rJarrett counts as a "significant debut." If that's the case, then I guess we should expect the orange/purple gear he wore for his debut WWF match? I'm down with that. I would take "debut" more as "debut in the line" than I would actual attire from their debut.

...if the line can carry mid carders at retail. It has going for it that's its Jeff 1st WWE figure in since the 90s, but it's probably from Jeff's weakest period in his career during one of the weakest eras. I will buy a jarett figure and many others will as well. We are starving for any new legends. That reason alone it will sell. Whats really amazing is the target legends line is still going. They clearenced out every series to date. So mattel is absolutely giving target a deal on future orders to keep it alive.

I asked Steve in the Q&A thread about if this meant the Ultimate line was expanding into lower card guys. He said only for special occasions and two packs; the main line (retail) would remain main eventers and “significant debuts.” Sounds like this Double J may be separate from the main line and not hit traditional retail, based on that response. Double J is UE17. We don't know who else is in that set right? Because personally, I would love if it were Jarrett in IY2 gear with a corresponding HBK.

It's not a significant debut attire, it's significant debut figure as in the UE is their first one in the line.

Didn’t it already get tested with shinsuke. Man.. Bill trying to give Nakamura a Vince McMahon not taking no for answer Roman Reigns level shove. Let us never forget the Nakamura Defining Moments figure that brought that line to its knees. And of course the retro figure no one asked for.

This attire and his one from the KOTR match against Kama are two of my top HBK wants.

Are we still doing that thing where we ignore that Nakamura being in the Ultimate line 100% made sense when the lineup would have been set?

Not exactly related to op but with Jarrett's signing as long as we have Road Dogg under contract I'm sure a Roadie will eventually turn up in the line.

That’s a missing piece from the New Generation era, for sure. Ultimate Roadie? Zero percent chance. DX Ultimates would be awesome, though.

Roadie somewhere in the Mattel releases to go with Double J. Elite makes the most sense and I hope he would be in a legends wave or maybe a ppv themed wave.

I didn't realize the Ultimate line was still so unpopular.
I mean, it seems to sell, but every time it comes up here, WFigs is declaring that figure to be determined is sure to be the death knell of the Ultimate line.
It's almost like people want it to die.

95 and 00 Jarrett are my most wanted from Mattel. Glad to be crossing off one of the two right out of the gate. Absolutely loved his stuff with Razor and Shawn. If/When we end up getting the Nitro stage, he's a perfect pick to put in the line a second time in his WCW look. Great addition for Mattel, as many of us have been waiting on his signing for years. I'm sure we'll get all of his major looks. We should get 99 Jeff in the silver and red, and 2000 Jeff in the silver and yellow imo.

I'd be down for this. That event attire is my top HBK want, so having a Jarrett to match would be great.

Obviously we wouldn’t get either of these shirts from Mattel but it’s the look I most associate with Jarrett. I never really thought about that, but you're right in that Mattel likely won't be able to use either of those phrases on a future Jarrett figure. Still not exactly sure what "Slap Nutz" even means it just doesn't sound like something that will be approved by Mattel. "Don't Tick Me Off!" perhaps or is that too soon? 🤣

I think the opposite. I think this figure will get people hyped to get it. Jarrett has been on peoples want list for a while. Not sure I’ll get it because I only have so much space. But the novelty of it might be too hard to resist.

I would have much preferred the "Don't p#$$ me off" era of Jeff Jarrett or even "slap nutz" WCW run.
