I would have much preferred the "Don't p#$$ me off" era of Jeff Jarrett or even "slap nutz" WCW run. Those can for sure be released as regular Elites down the line. To do a proper "Double J" Jeff Jarrett justice it needs every penny of that UE budget.

We will 100% get a 98/99 Jarrett down the road in regular Elite lineups or Legends. My bet would be WWF 99 inm Elite form with Oval IC or tagger & Legends in the silver yellow with an nWo silver shirt & US title.
As for this figure? I cant wait to own it. Vital part of the NG. Major want of mine

The subject is laughable. Double J will sell just fine.

Double J is a top 5 most wanted Star not yet made. Hell sell better than a good chunk of the prior UE’s with ease.

Realistically, what pre 2010 guys are left to get an Ultimate in the main line that Mattel would deem worthy? Not the new Coliseum line or any exclusives (like Zeus, Doink, Diesel). And remember the guys that aren't signed like Angle, Jericho, Sting, Big Show etc. Also, I'm not including guys like Orton because he still wrestles. He definitely will get one.
Andre, Piper, Guerrero, Vince, Foley is all I can really think of.
Guys like Hall, Dibiase, Luger, Dusty, Yoko, Jake, Rude, JBL would be close, but not sure Mattel would put them in the main line. I feel like we'd get more Hogans, Savages, Warriors etc... before them

Speaking as someone who was never a big Jarrett fan I wouldn’t call him a mid carder. This gimmick is but he was one of the top guys towards the end of WCW and the face of TNA for several years. He’s definitely the biggest non-Steiner name that has yet to get a Mattel figure and this is the most toyetic version they could do. 👍 Not to forget multiple times WCW World Champion. If Jarrett was a Midcarder, Razor Ramon aka Scott Hall was too and we wouldnt get an ultimate either. For me both are legends Scott Hall is one of the few guys that could seamlessly slip between Mid-card and Main event. The problem with Jeff Jarrett the perception is he got pushes he got in wcw because he was friends with Russo, and TNA cause he owned the company. This is coming from someone who was a fan of Jeff during 99/00. This isn't wasn't meant some doom and gloom thread. I want more Ultimates, especially midcard legends. How well Jeff sells could mean more of that.

Now that I think of it… we got a Jarrett UE before an RVD. I hope there’s something in the works

Nash, Hall (and Razor), Foley (either in all in one, or at least separate Mankind and Cactus figures), a throwback Edge, Guerrero, Mysterio, Andre, RVD, maybe DDP to name a few. There’s also a few looks of previously made Ultimates that are different enough to almost count as a different guy.

Amazing that someone who had fueds with hbk, razor, flair, sting and many others and is still significant and talked about today is considered a mid carder…
This was probably the biggest pop reveal i saw followed by the sst/headshrinkers and nwa stunning steve. I guess its just my age showing

Jeff has been a big want from collectors. This will move. However, I just want a 1999 “Don’t Piss Me Off” Jarrett, or a 2000 “Slap Nutz” Jarrett. Obviously we wouldn’t get either of these shirts from Mattel but it’s the look I most associate with Jarrett. I never really thought about that, but you're right in that Mattel likely won't be able to use either of those phrases on a future Jarrett figure. Still not exactly sure what "Slap Nutz" even means it just doesn't sound like something that will be approved by Mattel. "Don't Tick Me Off!" perhaps or is that too soon? 🤣 On his My World podcast, Jarrett said “Slap Nutz” was a term his grandmother would use when someone was being an idiot. Not necessarily inappropriate for todays crowd, but I don’t see Mattel releasing anything with “Nutz” on it.

I’m surprised he hasn’t had one made already with all the elites he gets. RVD would be awesome and I could definitely see him selling

A Jarrett/Russo 2-pack would be a great way to get Vince in the line.

Jeff Jarrett has been highly anticipated for a while now I’m sure he’ll sell just fine.

I love the hell out of him, but Scott Hall was definitely a midcarder. Nothing wrong with that. Still more than deserving of an Ultimate. The idea that it has to be main eventers is a bad take.
