A lot riding on Ant Man and Black Panther at this point. I wasn’t sure what was gonna go on with the GOTG holiday special but it does look like it will be silly fun with some implications for their story moving forward. With Ant Man I’m kinda hoping they have Kang do some massive damage, they’ve gotta establish the big threat and/or connect it to what we’ve seen thus far to give him a Thanos level quality

There's a lot riding on Ant Man in fairness

Got back from seeing Black Panther a little while ago. I thought it was good, still prefer the first one though.

He enjoyed it & said that although it was a bit busy there's some genuinely good surprises & that he was entertained throughout.

BP Wakanda Forever was pretty good. It was what it needed to be and a moving tribute to Chadwick Boseman. Namor is fantastic, hopefully we see more of him in the future.

IMO BP Wakanda Forever was a step up from Dr. Strange and two steps up from Thor L&T but still didn't feel like the home run hit Marvel needed to pull itself out if its current slump. The time certainly didn't help IMO as nearly a 3 hour movie that probably could have been cut down closer to 2 with some of the dragging scenes in the middle. My Thoughts on The Movie: It felt like after a while the story started to fall apart. The ending felt super "wet rag" and made me wonder why I had just sat through 2 hours and 40 min to get to where they did.
Shuri didn't bother me being BP as much as I thought she would, but still kind of met my expectations I had going in about a whole movie centered around her character.
Namor just didn't do it for me. For the backstory him and his people had, the actor just didnt meet the emotion in my opinion. Even the child actor they brought on had 0 emotion in his scenes. Logicially I don't understand how his people still worship him as a god after Thanos had to have snapped half of Talocan as well. Wouldn't half of your population perishing bring question to your leader?
It felt like they were going for sympathy with Ramonda's death but honestly leading up to it she kinda was a huge b***h to everyone like Okoye. So it felt less like sorrow when she drowned and more like "eh she kinda got what she deserved"
Killmongers surprise appearance was one of the best parts of the movie. It still saddens me that they didnt find a way to bring him back. He would have changed the whole aspect of the movie. With every passing Marvel movie and TV show that doesnt live up to expectations I start to continue lowering them but Im holding out hope that AntMan is going to be the home run hit Marvel needs right now. Jonathan Majors is one of my favorite actors and im hopeful that the introduction of the new universe in Quantum is going to go a lot more smoothly than it did with Talocan.

Catching up on everything before I go see BP. How is Wong on his first watch through of Sopranos? Isn’t it like 2028 in that universe?
Other than that, thought Ms Marvel was ok. The family dynamic and cultural history were the most interesting parts to me. She-Hulk isn’t too bad so far. I’m fine with the comedy. Only thing I’m not feeling is the low show stuff. Not big on the genre.

Add me to the list of people that hasn't watched Sopranos and tbh probably never will. Which is fair. Not everyone has to watch everything. But Wonger can’t get upset getting spoiled on a 28 year old show at that point. Ha

I honestly wouldn't mind a Madisynn spin-off series.

My biggest complaint is the common tv show trope where everyone acts like the clearly hot woman is not that hot. Jennifer is gorgeous.
