This can be moved if needed. Or deleted if not allowed. Whatever lol
I thought it would be fun to start a Jim Cornette thread. This can be used for videos, pics, memories, thoughts, talk about his podcasts, or anything related to good ol James E
I’ll start out with saying I’m a devoted listener to his shows. I think they’re the most entertaining out any wrestling podcast and his knowledge and memory of classic wrestling is second to none. I hated him as a kid(because he was great at his job) but I’ve come around as an adult to appreciating his contributions.
Anyway, let’s talk about Corny!
TY, FY, BYE!

Corny is both a treasure in the wrestling world and his own worst enemy.
Without going into specifics, when he's right, he's very right. But he's been wrong about guys/things on a few occasions and has become too "old man yells at cloud".
I do enjoy his rants though.

I could listen to Corny tell old road stories for hours but I have no interest in hearing him talk about modern wrestling.

I go through waves on who I listen to. Sometimes I’ll just go through shows of someone for months and I’m making my way through some of Corny’s older shows. I can always rely on entertainment whether I agree with what he’s got to say or not

I became an official licensed member of the Cult of Corny and received 10 TY, FY, Bye business cards.
I love that dude but I love it when he pisses everyone off even more.

Great manager and funny as hell at times. He’s got a ton of great knowledge of the business as well, but you often have to weed out a lot of crap to get to it.

I love the "sound of disgust" sigh he does when he's read a question he doesn't really want to answer. And Travis Heckel's artwork is hilarious. He's a great story teller. I like how worked up he gets when he starts ranting on Vince Russo or Kevin Dunn.

Love Corny.....a superb onscreen talent with a great mind for the business. Timelines: WWF 1997 is one of my favorite watches.

I like Cornette. He was annoying as a manager, but that's what he was supposed to be. I really enjoy his podcasts about past and present wrestling. The guy really knows his history. And I tend to agree with him often about current wrestling.

I hated Cornette as a kid, but I can't deny he was very good at his job. I'm struggling to think of someone who could draw heel heat as effectively as him.

Such a great talker. Loved how he made the Heavenly Bodies seem like a big deal.
Was also a fan of his rants on Raw circa 97.

When he sticks to wrestling his podcasts are good listens. It probably helps that I agree with him on about 90% of his AEW opinions.
