I found two of the chase version over the weekend…both with the running change. I already had the original, but I like the orange trunks. The arms on the original are much better. Not sure why Mattel did this.

Honestly the running change looks great with the Chase version and the original biceps look great with the Standard release. Win win?

The Hogan arms are disproportioned to the rest of Luger’s body. Unless they wanted to sculpt new arms for Lex the original ones they used were fine.

It looks worse every time I see it. Christ all mighty, I waited this long for an Elite WCW Luger and they just had to completely ruin it with a pointless, and utterly stupid running change.
Mattel hits a lot of homeruns don't get me wrong, but I don't understand this company sometimes. You have instances of awful part selection that they refuse to correct like the elite Hogan torsos, yet they get something right on the first try and then decide to step all over themselves by making a useless change as in the case of the aforementioned Luger.
Hell, with Hogan you don't even have to sculpt a new torso, you have better ones already available with either the Sheik/Volkoff torso, or the shirtless Kane/Old Man Hogan torso.
👏👏👏 Bravo Mattel, that takes a special kind of talent 👏👏👏

I have two theories..... either they made the BIG arms Luger 1st and the actual "running" change to the smaller arms (which look better) just happened to hit stores first.... OR..... they had a TON of Hogan arms laying around from all the Hogans they've been making lately & just decided to use them up on Luger.....  |

However if that were the case they should f#ck!ng use the Hogan arm for the post-97 Hogans too instead of the terrible Sheamus torso/tiny arm combo. Christ they’ve ruined Wolfpac Hogan, Mr. America, and Wrestlemania X8 Hogan with this garbage, and basically telegraphed that HSR Hogan will also be terrible unless it’s an Ultimate (in which case they still need to use the Hogan arms and skin tone). Anyway, if that were the reason then fixing the Hogan figures would eliminate the surplus and prevent further malpartages such as this one. In fact it would kill two birds with one stone by creating a better Luger and better Hogans. Dammit Mattel, why can’t you use logic??? Ok, rant over. |

Or WWE's licensing department decided they wanted Luger to have bigger arms because of his gimmick. I think sometimes people underestimate stuff like that. There's a reason then-current Triple H figures were always jakked, or why Surfer Sting figures had a "larger than life" super hero bodies, etc. |

I got the Chase from Target.com, before the running change. Then I found the Wolfpac Luger with the new arms. Here's a side-by-side comparison for anyone interested. I'm not sure which I prefer actually.  |
