Looking for help on how to remove black stains/bleeding from cloth accessories on to arms/legs/torso. Is this possible or is it game over? I’ve briefly tried some alcohol gel but doesn’t seem to do anything?

I have read in past people saying they’ve been able to remove them. But my experience is there is no way because it’s bled into the plastic. So I don’t see there being a way.

I don't think it's possible, but I've heard of people using some kind of technique in a bag where you leave the figure in the sun to remove stains. I can't remember if it was for whitening or what... I'm assuming it might discolor your figures too.

Which is a shame because the Target UE Macho is staining. I posted pics in the Macho Man thread of the one I picked up last week having the start of a very faint spot on his left shoulder. And the today I picked one up for a friend and that one has a faint mark on his right shoulder, but a much larger one on the left shoulder. So I feel the longer these are in the back room or on the shelves before people getting them there going to be many more and much worse staining reports going forward.

That is going to be a problem, damn. I though I was just unlucky when my elite 92 Flair had slight staining from the shirt.

You would think after all these years every toy company would have realized this and now be smart enough to NEVER package soft goods actually on the figure….but they just keep doing it.
Soft goods should ALWAYS be off the figure in the box. It’s just common sense at this point.

My recent Rick Rude has terrible staining on his shoulders, chest, and arms that look like he's just walked thru a coal mine with his shirt off. I wonder how many MOC collectors have stained figures ... It's unfortunate because I remember wrestlers better for their in-ring looks than their entrances, with Undertaker and Flair being equal on those fronts. I'd honestly rather do without the robes and shirts than risk ink staining. It seems that leaving them off in the package is the best choice.

I’ve briefly tried some alcohol gel but doesn’t seem to do anything? It can be done! I've used something called Acne Treatment Gel (needs to be 10% peroxide) to remove the staining from several figures, including the Storm Collectibles Hollywood Hogan, Giant Machine Andre, and a Jakks William Regal. Smear the gel on the stained area, put the figure in a clear plastic bag, and put it out in the sun for several hours. Wipe off the gel, and the stains are gone.

I confirm that it worked for my Yokozuna figure a few years back. If the stain is deep inside the plastic you have to do the same process several times.

Does the rest of the figure (that doesn't have the gel on it) also lighten or anything from just being out in the sun though?

its amazing they still havent learned this lesson after 10 years. smh. it used to be a huge complaint, they started to not back black on the figures, then all the sudden that got reveresed again... they executed the last Rude Elite perfect with robe packed in a plastic bag in the box. the most recent elite with stains galore was the Rckoning figure. lol...

I unexpectedly got a Chase Rick Rude, thinking I had ordered a regular one, and was so bummed out to find that his yellow tights were covered in stains as are the top of his pink boots. Posing him in his robe makes it not so obvious but if there’s a way I can fix it w/o doing damage I would like to know! A friend said the dye would be deep in the plastic.
What really surprised me was getting the new Summerslam British Bulldog. His flag/cape is behind the plastic prison but still attached around his neck and wrists. His forearms somehow have blue dye on them from the flag?
