Now off to March
WWF WRESTLEMANIA
1)The British Bulldog, Owen Hart, and Vader (with Jim Cornette) vs Ahmed Johnson, Jake Roberts, and Yokozuna (with Mr. Fuji)If Yokozuna's team won he would have received five minutes in the ring with Jim Cornette 2)Roddy Piper va Goldust (with Marlena)"Hollywood Backlot Brawl" 3)Stone Cold Steve Austin (with Ted DiBiase)vs Savio Vega 4)The Ultimate Warrior vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley (with Sable) 5)The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) vs Diesel 6)Shawn Michaels (with José Lothario) vs Bret Hart (c) 60-minute Iron Man match for the WWF Championship
WCW UNCENSORED 1)Konnan (c)vs Eddie Guerrero for US title 2)The Belfast Bruiser vs Lord Steven Regal 3)Col. Robert Parker vs Madusa 4)JOhnny B Badd vs DDP (Badd was replace by The Booty Man 5) The Giant (with Jimmy Hart) vs Loch Ness 6)Sting and Booker T vs The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) in a Chicago street fight 7)Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage vsRic Flair, Arn Anderson, Meng, The Barbarian, Lex Luger, The Taskmaster, Z-Gangsta and The Ultimate Solution (with Woman, Miss Elizabeth and Jimmy Hart) Doomsday Cage match
Man both of these cards do NOTHING for me. I'll go WWF mostly because of the iron man match

WWE by a mile for me. I was all in on Shawn Michaels Vs Bret Hart even if the match did end up being a major letdown! I was also really excited for Diesel Vs Undertaker. However, it was the return of the Ultimate Warrior that I was really excited about.

WWF. That WCW PPV was not that good, and the main event was too much. I liked WM12, I thought it was a good PPV. I might be in the minority, but I liked the main event. I was at the time, and still am, a big fan of both Bret and Shawn - two of the best in-ring workers ever. The match was well done. Yes it could have had a few more falls, but I liked the 1 fall/overtime victory - it was something new. Most Iron Man matches ended 3-2 or 2-1, this was new. The Diesel and Taker match was really good, probably Taker's best WM match at that points. The Goldust/Piper match was really interesting, and turned out better than them having a traditional wrestling match. And, the return of the Ultimate Warrior. I was all over this, I was a huge Ultimate Warrior fan from his first two runs, so I was super excited to see him back in the WWF. A lot of people give him hell for squashing Triple H, saying he should have had a longer match. But at the time, that was the best way to bring Warrior back and put him over strong. If he had a 10-15 minute match, it wouldn't have worked as well. Plus, I think the only reason people say he shouldn't have squashed Triple H is because of the guy Triple H became, not the guy he was in 1996. Had he come out and squashed say, Mantaur in 2 minutes, I don't think people would be saying anything.

I like how after he loses the belt in OT you see Bret storm off in a little tease for what was to come a year later
And no doubt Diesel was Taker's best Mania opponent in the 90s

Although Jake is on the WWF card, nothing else on that show interests me at all. I am going with WCW this time.

Flair the arrogant womanizer, Savage the over-protective boyfriend/husband; they were tailor-made for each other.

March = WWF. I thought The Iron man match was going to be something special....but it was meh for me. I was really interested in The Warriors return too & Diesel vs UT.
May= WCW. I thought IYH Beware of Dog was a poor card then and still do now. I had just discovered WCW again and that all these dudes were on there so...

Like most others, the Flair and Savage stuff gives WCW the win for me this time. HBK vs Bulldog was good, but the match at King of the Ring the following month was so much better.
Neither one of these shows on paper are all that amazing to be honest.
