That's 11 home grown players who came from the Yankee system and they are all MAIN parts of the team...and I didn't even mention a lot of the young kids who could impress Girardi and end up in that bullpen.
The Yankees develop their own players now, this isn't the 80's. If this was the 80's we would have traded Hughes, Cabrera and Kennedy for Santana and totally weakened every other aspect of the team....notice how that did not happen.
