Rumors suggest that they want one of the belts off of Reigns, but they don’t want him losing at all before Wrestlemania. Easy enough to fix. Just have him publicly call Drew an empty-headed MFer whilst eating muffins and complaining about some jobber who isn’t even on Smackdown, then have Reigns and Pearce get into a backstage brawl and suspend Reigns until Wrestlemania.
Seriously though
Option 1: Have the Bloodline come out and wreck the next Raw challenger, ban them from Raw for an ungodly amount of time, and strip Reigns of the Raw title and the Usos of the Raw tag titles…you know, so Raw teams actually have something to fight for too.
Option 2: Have Reigns refuse to appear on Raw in any capacity and strip him of the belt for not defending the title in a reasonable time frame. Empower Scrap Daddy to actually do something.
Option 3: (what they could’ve done at Clash), Have Theory interfere and pin Reigns’ opponent, run away with both belts, and then have Heyman come out on Smackdown with the contract that states that since Theory is a Raw superstar he was only entitled to a match for the Raw title as per the contract that Heyman drew up and modified, which was signed off on by WWE brass as an insurance policy to guarantee Reigns would still be champion in the event of a cash in.
I prefer option 3 even though I’m not a big Theory guy.
Option 4: Bring in Hogan, book Hogan vs Reigns, have Hogan win in about 90 seconds (nobody withstands the legdrop, Jack!), and then relinquish the Raw title since he just wanted to ‘win the big one one last time, brother! Much love, HH’. It’ll be the biggest f#ck you since Wrestlemania 9, and like the ending of Wrestlemania 9 I’d absolutely love it. It’ll sell a ton of figures if nothing else.
The last one was a joke in case anyone was triggered.
What they should have done at Clash is had Theory cash in during the match and get pinned by Drew. That way Drew gets his big win, Theory loses the briefcase, and Reigns gets to keep the universal title without getting pinned.
