I'm still a pretty big fan personally. The lineups are good for the most part (despite what some seem to think, having them go over the whole swath of the company's history as opposed one "era" is great) and usually there are at least 2-3 figures a wave I really want. Distribution issues near me that plagued the relaunched line early on seem to have been rectified, which is great. I do really feel for international collectors though.

I like it. Gets out figures of people who they probably wouldn’t put in the main line. Now we need an NXT line.

I thought the line was on life support a year ago. Then they actually improved the distribution, which shocked me.
This line will do well as long as it actually gets to stores.

I like the line and certainly hope it continues. That said, more variety is needed. I personally think that instead of the Greatest Hits Elite line that has started, they should start incorporating those into the Legends line, maybe one per wave. And get some of the truly harder figures from the past out there. Hall of Champions Ron Simmons would be a perfect candidate to re-release in the Legends line, for example.
Use some of the bigger names too. You could probably get away with having a Hogan, an Ultimate Warrior, a Bret Hart, a Rock, and an HBK in every other wave, as there are enough of those to go around.

So instead of 6 figures a yr being rereleased in the greatest hits line (if it's stays at 1 wave per yr - I can see it increasing if successful), you want 4 figures rereleased per year under the Legends line (one per Legends wave)?

I like the idea of the line. I like the characters getting released. I hate that it's near impossible to get in Ireland without paying a fortune.
Some of the choices are odd, though. Given that there's now a ruthless aggression line, that they put a 2003 Kane and Mighty Molly into the legends line seems a bit of an unusual choice.

i traveled in europe over the summer and thought what a crime that there is such limited access to so many great figure releases. Anyway i feel for you and wish Mattel would push harder to find outlets for release over there

Skipping all of series 16 and 17, but they won me back with Headshrinkers and Paul E. Dangerously in wave 18.

I enjoy the line be there are plenty of waves where I just cherry pick a few. I liked how they handled the DX army figures particularly. I probably would have passed on most of those had they not had a theme tying them all together. Its also one, if not the only reliable line at retail in my area. So I don't plan on dropping it anytime soon.

Keep them coming. If this stops, I may stop collecting.

Only figures I felt like I absolutely needed to get were the Dream Team and Vader. Everyone else I had gotten was more like a soft upgrade. If I missed out on them, wouldn't have been a big deal. Seems like they make more interesting choices with the WM-exclusive Collectors Edition at times. Edit: and yeah i guess vader counts as a soft upgrade too

L17 is one of the best lineups ever, but if Mattel made these lineups, they would blow all toylines out of the water L18Nick Bockwinkel Magnum Scott Hall Gorgeous Jimmy Garvin Mr Electricity Steve Regal L19Sid Vicious (Skyscrapers) Ron Garvin (Superstars on the Superstation) Beautiful Bobby Eaton (Great American Bash 1990) Sweet Stan Lane (Great American Bash 1990) L20Shane Douglas (1991-1992) Steve Corino (ECW November to Remember 2000) The Patriot Buff Bagwell Target wouldn’t be able to keep those on the shelves.

The Kane one is definitely weird (unless the RA line isn’t sticking around?), but the Molly Holly figure is based on a character that ended a few months before Vince ushered in “ruthless aggression.”

I have bought at least 1 figure from each Legends wave, since it’s return. But I’ve skipped multiple elite waves, because I had no interest in the releases.

Putting the specific "Legends" line aside for a moment, it's interesting to see so many of the latest Legends/Classics releases all at reduced prices in the current RSC sale - Slaughter, Boss Man, etc all down to $12 - $14. The recent Steamboat, Flair, and Bulldog are all sitting on the shelves in my local Walmarts.
I'd love to know the decision making process behind what goes into the Legends line. Strange that Big Bossman and Davey Boy are released as regular Elites and folks I'd consider to be lower down on the "Legends" scale like Stacy Kiebler, Acolytes and Molly Holly are put into the Legends line. Seems like strange choices.

The line has been skewing a little too recent for me, but there's always at least one figure per wave that makes up for it.
I had no interest in relatively modern characters like Kane or Stacy Keibler, but Lex Luger circa '89 is one I've wanted since Legends series 1.
I'm pretty excited for Paul E. Dangerously, and plan to hunt down both versions of the Headshrinkers/Samoan Swat Team.
