Bret's punches were great. Everything he did was flawless though.
Some other good ones: Austin Lawler Razor Macho Vader Taker around 96-02 (never thought the MMA stuff fit him and I couldn't stand Michael Cole spouting off the 'best pure striker' line every match)
I think Jeff Jarrett, Jake Roberts and DDP get a little overlooked in these discussions too.

Coles commentary was at its worst during Uts matches...."Pound & ground" etc 🙄

Bret by far was the best for me. So smooth. So believable. His punches just look credible. Austin was also great at straight rights when going toe-to-toe. But his Lou Thesz press punches were not only weak AF, you could easily see they were more soft palm taps to the ear. When I think of great strikers, this guy always comes to mind first... Hall was definitely up there as a great striker, I also think of him instantly. But he also noticeably struck with open palm hits which takes away from the art to me.
