Am putting this in the Mattel board as that has most eyes on it but applies to all boards really,
Who has more, or less, figures released than you'd expect
For example, I only collect Chris Jericho figures so have a spreadsheet with all his figures on and he has had 179 different carded releases with a further 8 card or packaging variants from his first Flip n Grip to the latest Minimate.
Some will say that that is far too many Jerichos than is ever required, me however think we're a good 50 short at least, all those long tight elites there could have been!
I think we are certainly short on a lot of Sting looks as well as Macho Man, however I think we're way overpopulated with Goldbergs for what was a very plain look.
Let me know who you think has too many or too few figures

More figures, I don’t know. Maybe Undertaker. He has so many early 90s figures and so few late 90s figures when he was most popular. They’ve released purple Taker with full sleeve tattoos as an elite 3 different times. 3. Now he’s got a 4th purple with fewer tats. We still don’t have an Elite ‘97-‘98 Taker with the crosses on his pants. We only have a SummerSlam ‘98 Taker when he switched to the Taker symbol printed on his tights.
Fewest? Honestly, Shawn Michaels. They’re pumping them out now, but for many years we only got the occasional 90s HBK every few years. Almost all of them were store exclusives.

I don't understand why we had like a 9 year gap between Ruthless era Elite Eddie Guerrero's. He was under a deal the entire time and one of the most beloved legends ever. He's also famous for having some of the most beautiful gears of all time. Totally brain dead move to make L6 Eddie in 2011 and then not make another until the 2020 Legends figure.
Even in between there, we only got 2 Eddie's and they were Target exclusives. I don't know why he isn't getting more figures made more often.

We had fewer Vince McMahon figures from Mattel than I would expect. Especially Attitude-era Vince.

He got a few basics from his world champ run, but a single Elite from that era. We still only got a single Attitude Era Eddie, but it’s really a WCW Eddie with a Latino Heat shirt.

What about Edge? We never got a his last Wrestlemania pre-retirement in Elite form. We only ever got a single Elite Edge with the racing stripe. We haven’t gotten pre-Rated R Superstar around the Matt Hardy-Lita thing. Even now I keep expecting more classic Edge attires and we’re rarely getting them. A single camo Edge 7 or 8 years ago? Camo Edge would be a hot seller.
I was also surprised we got a single Elite flashback Batista since his first return up until the RA line. And that was a store exclusive. Those early Batista elites were going for insane prices just a couple years after they came out. We got a flashback basic every now and then after his return for the biggest guy in the WWE from 2004 to 2010 besides John Cena. And we’re still not getting any new post World Title win Batistas. WHY?! Why didn’t you re-release either of his first 2 elites in the Greatest Hits series?! I have all the John Cenas I could ever need. I have a single post World Title win elite Batista. My collection is dying for more Batista.

Sting. When he signed his Legends/merchandise deal he should have been pumped out like Rey Mysterio or even a greater pace than Rey. I 100% meant this in the past (and still today) when I said/say They should have put Sting in every wave of Elites, Basics and Battle packs they released while they had his rights. I feel even in every wave they would have sold. He had so many colorful attires and cool face paints that they should have released. I feel like they dropped the ball on Sting.

We had fewer Vince McMahon figures from Mattel than I would expect. Especially Attitude-era Vince. So true! I feel like when Mattel got the license, that coincided with the end of the Mr. McMahon character in 2010 (Vince said this himself; that the Bret match was the conclusion of Mr. McMahon's story). Vince showed up only on special occasions after that. Mattel wasn't all-in on nostalgia for the first few years, so Vince kind of missed out. I think we're still waiting on the perfect Mattel Mr. McMahon!

I agree with the statement on Vince. Would have expected far more figures of him. Stephanie too, I don't know how we only just got an SMH flashback. Shane I understand though. He has that weird hangup about his likeness. Alexa Bliss is one that, with how much she was pushed for awhile there, the fact that we only got two figures of her "Fiend/Lilly" run is shocking to me. Yes, one was a 2-in-1 UE figure, but still. I'd have thought they'd be spamming her with crappy basics and elite re-releases. Mick Foley is another one that I'm frankly shocked we don't have more of. He has so many iconic looks that they could milk that, while he has a decent amount, there's so much untapped potential there it's frustrating. The fact that we don't have another Dude Love out there or a WCW Cactus Jack is crazy to me. Commissioner Foley is another one that ? And, honestly, I'm a little shocked we never got Santa Foley, that seemed like just the kind of thing that Mattel would throw out there as a RSC Exclusive. Rey Mysterio is one who has more than I'd expect. I get that he's toyetic and that he has so dang many looks, but I'm surprised they've put this much effort into covering them.

I never understood why there isn’t more “zebra” style tights HBK. From his first run as champion. I know there was the Basic 100 but even that was from his later run. The newest Ultimate is great but even the voting options didn’t give a choice for a zebra style. I’m thinking like International Incident or Survivor Series 96. Maybe they’re a difficult paint job. But yes, this is puzzling.

Adam Cole, Kylo Riley, and Bob E. Fish. For guys who didn’t have what it took to make it to the big leagues and spent their entire WWE career in developmental they certainly got more figs than I’d expect.

Also kinda surprised Zack Ryder didn’t get more figures simply because he got all chummy with Bill.

I came to say edge but heavily agree with Eddie needing more. Hhh and Shawn have a lot of elites, but a lot of attires are still desired. How have we not got Dutch boy shawn yet. It’s been 20 years now!

I'm surprised there are still major gaps in both Edge and Eddie Guerrero's careers given that both have been available straight through the run of the line IIRC. Also, given his overall popularity, general toyeticness, and Bill's penchant for NXT, I'm surprised we only got 2 elites of Gargano in his Marvel attires.
