Yeah, the Jakks one is definitely a bit lower. But the white rope on my Jakks ring is saggy as hell, so it throws off the perspective a little.

Here's all the pics I did in the NGA Megathread, comparing the Mattel Elite Scale Ring (ESR) vs the Mattel New Generation Ring (NGR) vs the Jakks Real Scale Ring (RSR): Nearly identical? Another ESR/NGR comparison. NGR rope height corrected by adding 0.5cm thick foam board (20.75in length) between the "wood" and the mat. Also makes the mat more tight. 😀 In the following pics, Elite Bret is the measure. His ab crunch cuts about right across the top rope. RSR: ESR: NGR: The rope height discrepancy on the NGR is due to the post sitting 0.5cm higher in the framework hole; you can kinda see it with how the ringskirt has a bit of visible gap from the inside, which bothered me. Though I used the 0.5cm foamboard, I want to change it to a more malleable foam that can retain shape after impact, but I haven't the foggiest idea where to obtain that.

I think I saw some thicker foam sheets on Amazon in the arts and crafts section. Try there.
