If AEW loses CM Punk and he goes to WWE, it'll probably be AEW biggest mistake.
Can't believe they cant handle all this drama, just give everyone a fine and move on.

I don’t know why they should have to buy him out, or why he would have a leg to stand on if he tried to sue. People mention the EVPs ‘busting down’ his door. Others have said that no door busting took place. Simply going into his dressing room? He is on video saying ‘if you have a problem, come find me’. Nobody really knows what happened besides the people there. Either way they should either fire him outright or keep him locked up for the remainder of his contract if they’re just going to pay him off anyway. He shouldn’t even have the option to go to WWE until he’s like 50. If they want to bring him back then, it’s on them. He’s looked like $#!t, made of sand, and taped together with dollar store band aids. He had a chance at redemption, and all he did was tarnish his legacy.

Wouldn't it be something else if he returned to WWE. I'd love to see it, it'd cap off the whole Self Destruction of CM Punk saga.

I don't know why everybody is acting like the Elite have no blame in this.

It was all Punk but if Tony Khan was a real boss instead of a money mark he would have cut Punk's micphone and end the media scrum.

It may have been inevitable that Punk was gonna Punk, but I don't think I can shut up about how little I think of TK's lack of leadership skills. Thank God for guys like Jericho and Mox who actually lead that locker room now.

Khan def cost himself a lot of money, cause if he stops that dead in the water at the press conference this whole thing ends a hell of a lot differently.

You think Punk went in completely unprompted by anything? I find that hard to believe. Somebody is leaking something about the Colt stuff to the dirt sheets, if it's not the Bucks it's someone in their camp. They're EVPs, they need to start acting like it. There seems to be a recurring pattern here. It's rumored the Elite ran Cody out of the company, they have problems with FTR, and now the Punk situation.

What's the rumored story there?

There have been rumors about them having a falling out for years, though interestingly enough I did hear rumors as well that both:
A) Punk potentially coming in may also have had an influence (though I suspect this is mostly a $$ thing) on Cody leaving
B) There are definitely high up people in AEW that would consider Cody a snake. Absolutely no reference on who but more than just the elite, just that Cody may have actually burned some bridges on his exit and it may not have been as cordial as appeared nor he innocent in it.
The Bucks in general are likely not innocent in the political game. That doesn't mean Punk goes into a press conference and buries the whole company like he did. That's the part I have a real problem with and that's the part he's 100% at fault for. Go in there say you hate the Bucks I don't care. Say you hate Hangman I don't care. Don't make the entire company look bad like he did. That's all on him and no one else.

All I know it’s a matter of time before they make a joke about it on their YouTube show or Twitter bio. Feels like they instigate sometimes.
I do feel for Kenny though. Guy worked hard to come back from injuries that might have been career ending, just to be bit and suspended.

Punk at this point is damaged goods and comes across as a troublemaker.
I doubt WWE and it's roster would want him.

He sat there and nodded almost the entire time it was going on and didn't do anything to stop him.

His contract runs til next September so he at the very least would be locked up til then, but the story of them putting together an agreement to not go to wwe. I mean they would have to pay him somewhere between 10-20 million right? If he is making 3 mill a year now.

Grapsody podcast guys (They tend to have pretty accurate info, but of course grain of salt as always)
confirmed that Punk, Hanger, Megha, Bucks and TK all had a meeting after Hangers first promo that pissed Punk off. (Omega was at home injured at this point) Which, is very interesting considering Punks little receipt when he got back from injury.
Still think it's insane Punk was such a baby about that promo when Kingston and MJF did the same thing except more obvious. Barely anyone knew what Hangman's promo was about the general discourse was that it was just kind of a crap promo lol.
