I didn't like it when Jakks did it with the CS line, and these are just as bad. There's no recapturing the LJN magic, it really just doesn't work with that style. Hasbro/Retro are different, those have cache still. Solid rubber statues were a moment in time, and applying them to a current style just doesn't work.

They would be better off in the place of the ShopAEW/arena exclusives, and making all Unmatched sets have a luminary I think making them some sort of exclusive and not hogging a spot in the main line is the way to go. Personally I like them so I don’t want them completely cancelled but moved somewhere better I think this is kind of where I think they should end up too. In one year they've only been able to get two of these out (three if you count the Cody repaint). Shifting them to be a ShopAEW seems to be a fair option for those who want them. As I said when I made the post, I'm not planning on picking up any more of these. It was a novel idea at the start, but I just spent $25 on an Unmatched figure today (after taxes) at Walmart and then nearly $46 at a separate store when I found the Walmart Cody Supreme. I'm going to have to make cuts and the LJNs are the easiest of cuts to make.

LJN figures are great...LJN style figures arent. The worst thing JAKKS/Jazwares has done is try to bring back those dog toys.

By the time Punk is supposed to be released, 2 of the 3 people they've made will already be gone from the company.

As much of a die hard ljn guy i am, the jakks and current jazwares versions should called what they actually are. A throwback to the osftm wcw “rubber” figures. The only figures that scale with the originals is the young bucks 2pk and im being generous with that too.
