I wish the belts actually curved around the waist. They pop out like big squares.

This is something I brought up in the q&a with Steve and was more or less given a blanket we made more new re tooled titles in elite series 100. But my question wasnt really about retooling the sizes and such. More like brand new tech such as OPs question that may have been my fault, but thought i kinda relayed that in my question and saying the titles hover around the waist etc. Hey Steve, have you guys thought about re tooling the title belts? More akin to the hardcore title? Or smaller clips so the title doesn't look like it's floating/hovering around the figure? We’ve discussed re-doing older titles and just announced new versions of the Women’s and spinner titles for Elite 100 at SDCC. It does come down to deciding on spending the tooling money on tweaking old versions or if it’s more important to get all new titles out and we’ll usually land on prioritizing all new titles.

I think a new material for the straps would be cool but I think they need to work more on the scaling and they need to have the plates curved first. the classic IC title is prob the worst offender.. it's comically oversized

I really liked how the belt that came with cash in Rollins looked. If all belts looked like that that would be cool

I wish we could get a material that's more malleable. When the figures are holding the belts they look flat. One of the belts that never looked right to me was the winged eagle. Mattel's always looked more ovalish (almost like the batman logo) whereas the belt I remember seemed to look more round. I think Jakks got the overall shape correct. Was there two versions of this belt?

With clear bands and/or some double sided tape you can pose any of their belts over the shoulder

The one that looks pretty bad and overly big to me is the US belt.

To this day, i still believe Jakks' belts > Mattel's. Especially the World Heavyweight Championship. They may look a little big on some, but i still use a few Jakks belts on my Elite's today.
If Jakks did the pop in studs like Mattel does, instead of that weird buckle thing, they'd be unmatched.

I don’t think it’s possible to make it a thinner material. I’ve had a few of the little studs tear over the years as is. I suppose a more pliable material might be less likely to tear, though.
I’ve noticed that the buttons on the actual modern WWE titles are fake, though, and there’s nothing for the buttons to clasp onto. So I assume that there’s a magnet on one end of the strap and a metal plate at the other end. It would be cool if Mattel could do something similar with action figure belts so we could get some button sculpting, but I imagine that would be cost prohibitive. And are there even magnets thin enough to fit on such tiny belts?

I’ve always found it odd, that the company that produces millions of 1:64 scale die cast cars, hasn’t figured out how to make or include die cast belts for figures… (and I don’t count those 1 of 1000 things).
Think a series with Diecast belts (Metal) would sell extremely well. Maybe a “Ultimate edition metal” series or something… I’d buy them and I’m a MOCer! Lol

The Hardcore belt was kinda unique, in that it was all one single piece of rubber. It doesn't have the 'shine' some of the belts have, which is alright for it being the hardcore belt but probably wouldn't pass on a 'normal' belt, but because it's all rubber, it kinda moulds to the waist of the figure a little bit better.
There used to be a chap on here years ago that made "re-leathered" belts - he had a thin synthetic leather-ish material and some velcro. He'd take the plates off the Jakks belts and put them on this material. I have a few of them in the attic somewhere. They were a definite improvement and would be surely cheap to mass produce.

Like the Daniel Bryan Eco-WWE Title. All one piece and much more pliable than the standard belts

I love the one piece rubber belts. The wwe championship that I think came with Rollins, the eco belt with Daniel Bryan and the hardcore belt are the only ones that I have. Anyone know if Mattel made others?

I had to go look at mine I never noticed why that belt looked the best in the waist. Always thought it was dull plastic

Anyone know if Mattel made others? I actually agree with you. They aren’t shiny, but I just like them better. They remind me of the first Jakks BCA belts that came in the Championship 4-pack with Owen, Bulldog, Rocky Maivia, and Undertaker. Which happens to be the very first thing I ordered from RSC back in 1998. So they’re incredibly nostalgic to me. I wish Mattel would make versions for all their belts. Maybe pack them into basics.
