I have not been following WWE over the past few months due to being busy with work. I do know that Rock vs Roman has been teased for many years and looks like it just may happen at Mania. A couple questions for all of you:
When do you see them bringing Rock back in to start building up that feud?
And do you think Rock would be the one to dethrone Roman being that he only be temporary and not a full time permanent fixture?

I mean last week Rock declared himself head of the table and Solo responded. Plus Brian Gerwitz teased Rock having his Feb/March clear to promote the XFL.

I don’t do Rock vs Roman because Cody should be the guy beating Roman at Wrestlemania.

I just can't fathom Rock lowering himself enough to wrestle again.

They don’t need the title… just do it as a blood feud around the family. Get the belts off Roman in the lead up to that. I’d say you would want this match at WM40. Makes more sense to me.

Hopefully, it does. I don't think there's anyone besides Cody, Lashley and Seth that could realistically take the belts off Roman. I was never on board with this whole Roman vs The Rock match people wanted for years, but at this point it would be a spectacle.

Rock's not beating Roman. No matter how much XFL needs the cross promotion.
Give guys like Cody, Seth, KO a year from Mania 39 to Mania 40 and have whichever one gets over the most dethrone Reigns there as the future of WWE.

It feels like they've booked themselves in a bit of a corner with this match. We all know Roman and Rock is happening at Wrestlemania. Its whether its for the championship or not that has me wondering. Like Rock and Cena II, its not a match that needs to be for the title. Its a big enough marquee match on its own but theres really no time between now and Wrestlemania for him to lose. Maybe the Rumble but then you want the Rumble winner beating him. It also means Rock would have to win the Rumble, which I don't want, or split the titles again.
If Roman is champion going in, Rock winning isn't on the table but at the same time, when does Roman lose? Summerslam? Wrestlemania 40?
If Roman isn't champion, lets say he loses it at the Rumble to Cody or Rollins or whoever. His match with Rock is going to overshadow every other match on the card, including whoever the new WWE Champion is.

Rock vs Roman does nothing for me. What could a 50 yr old Rock have to offer in the ring. No doubt it’ll be a huge draw. But after mania, it all goes away.
Cody vs Roman all the way, with Cody going over clean as a whistle.

I get they’re family and it’s Hollywood and all that BS but don’t jeopardize the present and future of the next champion on that match. Put the titles on Cody where they belong.
If you want a big payday, just keep doing Saudi shows.

I forgot to post, what they could do is have Roman lose one of his titles through a bs WWE finish on a PPV. Then the winner of the rumble fights the person who defeated Roman. You could have Roman snap and talk about how he's beat everyone. The Rock comes out and they fight at Mania with Roman pulling the upset. As much as I DISLIKE Austin Theory have him sneak behind Reigns as he celebrates and hit him with the briefcase multiple times. He pins Roman to beat him clean. Although in Theory (no pun intended), I think the person who should be Roman needs to be someone more established than Theory.. Seth is the most ideal imo and is one of my favorites on the roster. Btw, I love Seth, but he needs to get into his 2015 physique. His dad bod ain't it.

I heard that Rock's schedule didn't align for WM so who knows but surely sooner rather than later if they're gonna pull the plug.

So how would you go on about the Roman and Rock booking?

Sales are solid for mania, there's no need for long term booking here, Reigns carries on as normal, it looks like theres no one left to challenge him, The Rock shows up 3 weeks before mania and lays down the challenge.
Word is Triple H wants mitb back on the mania card, I'd book Cody to win the briefcase on night one, to maximise the "what if he cashes in on night 2" anticipation.

I don't personally care if we get Rock/Roman or not in the future but I just want Cody to get his moment and leave Mania this year with both titles. Just like others said Roman/Rock definitely doesn't need any gold to make it a big match,so go ahead put the titles on Cody at Mania 39 and Roman can take some time off and get the Rock match for Mania 40.
