Hi!
So this is mostly what I amassed over the past 6 months. Besides the initial investment costs, my hesitation had a lot to do with size differentials between Mattel and Jakks. The women fit perfectly together. The men can vary but the Rock and Roll Express didn't bug me too much. For some odd reason, only Koko B. Ware did. I didn't have his accessories since I somewhat wanted to sabotage the collection. Then decided to keep it, then sell it, then keep it, then sell it, for months on end. I'm pretty okay with keeping the characters up to about 1996 when the aesthetics become more gritty on WWF terms and away from the '80s glam that I grew up loving. When I heard Miss Elizabeth was made, that most pushed me towards collecting.
Notes for costume fix ups and customs:
- Bought the Jakks exclusive jackets for the Hart Foundation and put them on the Elite versions of them. Disappointed that Neidhart didn't get a hat
- Bought an extra Warlord Powers of Pain from Mattel, then placed his attire on the Jakks Barbarian
- Bought a white suit of the Honky Tonk Man, then cut the jacket at waist line, putting that on Valentine for the Rhythm and Blues. Got a spare guitar too
- Someone sold me a head swap for the Dynamite Kid. That was cool. So I got a new tag team
- That is a Powers and Glory custom set with a perfect paint job. Wish I had the shirts though!
- I used a different tie for the black gloved Undertaker and hat that more matches his attire. My favorite Undertaker was the one with Brother Love whose character I loved
* To be noted, the Jake Roberts face is in green, not maroon. The latter is in the "To be sold" pile. I had no use for it since I can't remember him having worn that attire beyond his promotional pictures
Favorites:
- Berzerker is stunning. Not so pleased with Papa Shango. I wanted his trench coat. Spooky! Miss Elizabeth is awesome. Never really liked any Bret Hart besides the Hasbro, but that jacket really brings him to life! Legion of Doom and Demolition are stunning!
It took me a bit to find out whose mask belongs to whom. Given how detailed Mattel is, I took for granted that the masks are not uniform. They're not Jakks after all! Like, they really make the accessories different? Same with the glasses. The detailing is remarkable
Akeem might be my favorite. His outfit blew my mind when I was small. "Africa?" It got me into geography
Harley Race is totally glam. Love that outfit!!
The 1991-1992 Jake Roberts is great. I'm glad they took artistic liberties by giving him a rat face - associated with the Bubonic Plague, the otherness of Eastern Europeans after the Bolshevik Revolution, and sexual deviance. I don't hate rat faces personally but it's a phobia embedded in folklore
- A+ on Colonel Mustafa. The Iraqis were among my favorites. Had a teacher who thought wrestling was real. She was like "Hulk Hogan's gonna get them for what they did!!!"

I have a lot more elsewhere but I don't have the space to mount them. That will be so for at least 4 years. I have an Ashley Massaro box set. It's in my husband's room somewhere. Since I don't have an attachment to the Ruthless Aggression era, I bought that as an insurance in the event that I would like to finish that period, especially since the vast majority are so cheap. It's possible but I haven't decided
___
Guess I'll say this prior to posting.
I really do not appreciate some of the harassment two moderators are doing, especially when they aren't so much as doing their jobs in helping me put up the pictures. The camera pictures, when uploaded, were turned 90 degrees. I had to take a screenshot of the pictures to have them facing properly. I have zero idea who Barnxee is. Never heard of him. Never posted here. And maybe I should not post here. If I ever do sell, I'm moving to the view of giving the collection to kids with cancer instead. I really don't like the time I've had to waste with this kind of gossip. It's really annoying and, frankly, beta. They could at least present some evidence, and they haven't. I'm honestly surprised that this is allowed to go on. This is starting to broach creepy GamerGate behavior
