Anyone else disappointed with Razor Ramon Ultimate Edition?

Wonder if you could use a set of dx crotch chopping hands to make it more accurate?

You're absolutely right. They use the Cena hands for a ton of different open handed poses, and in most every case, the crotch chop/open handed "just bring it" hands are a better fit. I have my Legends 7 Razor doing this pose:



...and it worked so much better once I swapped out the "you can't see me" hands he came with for a pair of the crotch chop hands.



Incidentally, he's pictured here with one of the rare cases where the YCSM hands are the right fit.

I like the face sculpts a lot. One of the really cool things about Razor Ramon is that he had multiple tops and bottoms. What makes Ultimate Mattel so unique is that I think it would be neat to have multiple colored vests within the Ultimate package to accommodate multiple Ultimate looks for Razor. To me - the Ultimate image or the one I best remember him was the black tights with the gold razors. Yellow and Black vest. Or in Wrestlmania 10 Gold and Black vest. It could even have a Red and Black vest. These looks would be Ultimate - Unique and very different from the Purple Elite Razor that we already have. I am sad with all of his looks that the Purple offering is the main one.

I would have purchased if they had done the black and gold attire or black and red. Ketchup and mustard is an immediate pass for me. All purple looks fine but is nothing I wish to add to my collection.

On a side note: I dislike how thin they make a lot of the torsos. Many wrestlers are much thicker than what they are depicting. If it’s to cut costs, I get it. If it is to exaggerate other features, I think it distracts more than anything else.

Pros. Body looks a little bigger
Heads are fantastic

Cons. Would habe prefered he was more tan
The red and yellow attire is too bright.. would prefer the red a little darker and yellow more golden

Really looks great though. Was also hoping for all red RR93

Considering the UE line is the “premium” line, I see this as a letdown. Arms are too small, wrong knee pads, right elbow pad should be bigger than the left, and lazily went with the purple attire again when he has plenty of others to choose from.

Will I grab it if I see it? Probably once it hits clearance, but still a disappointment considering this was Mattel’s chance to retool Razor/Hall for a more accurate look.

I call it lazy. Some will say it’s a memorable look for Razor to casual collectors, but he had plenty of memorable looks. Razor/Hall is a big enough name that they could have given us something different like his green or pink attire and it would have sold (considering the price point of this line, I was hoping for his SummerSlam 1994 attire).

If they were going to go with the purple attire again, they at the least could have given him the correct elbow and knee pads (that’s not even asking for bigger arms like we have for years).

I have no issues with the attire choices. Since his DM people have been bitching for a new purple one because it was the wrong shade of purple. So here they give us what (at least to me) is probably his most iconic look in the proper shade of purple so I am fine with it. As for the chase attire it’s something different so I am good with that too. Green would have been a great choice, but we just got it in the Target RAW set. I just wish he had larger arms, because he was a bigger guy.
