And thatโs why no offense to anyone and what they believe are their discoveries but unless itโs still in a factory sealed package, your variants arenโt worth anything anymore because anybody can do the work and create their own. When it comes to Funskools you can easily feel if it is a true Funskool or just a played with figure. Also the paint applications are way cheaper. These are true variants even loose. But pink pants to purple pants Rick Rude, missing heard Hitman and others I agree are worth nothing if loose. Same with switched heads for Rockers or Headshrinkers. Yeah, those Funskools look and feel noticeably different from Hasbro. They're a lot lighter, plastic-wise, and look a bit shoddily painted etc. Never seen the point in them as desirable pieces, myself.

Like people who have owned, held hasbro prototypes etc are clearly best placed and likely correct in assessing if another potential proto is real or fake etc Not sure if youโre serious. ๐ I cannot say anything about the prototypes. Personally I habe bought some โprototypesโ in the early 2000s, maybe even 90s. The seller was UK based. I was told he got them from someone overseas. Fast forward to today I have seen some of them being graded by UKG. How could this be if they are in my hands? Lesson learned. Obviously I am not able to differ real from fake in this case. Funskool however is different as they are made of cheaper materials. You can see this (eg Bam Bams head tattoo or Undertakers beard color) and you can feel the cheaper plastic that has become kind of dull over time. The second part is indeed hard to explain. Especially if Englisch is not your first language.

Razor and Dibiase however are nice to habe with their bronze colored accessories and I wouldnโt mind Undertaker and Bam Bam as they are different enough to me.

Obviously thereโs more than just him but heโs the most high profile but the true prototype collectors on all the private Facebook groups know whatโs what with the prototypes A lot of modern figures prople try to pass off test shots etc which are just paint stripped or re cast

Yeah, I collect a lot of different toy lines, and certain types of paint wear off VERY easily. There are some GI Joe figures from the 1980s with silver Cobra emblems on their chest, and the paint comes off absurdly easily. Like, you sometimes find the figures in beautiful condition, but completely missing the logos from their chests because of that, and some people think they have a "rare variation" without a symbol. Nope.
