With the rumours resurfacing today of a potential Rocky return;
What's your thoughts on a Rumble win?
Is it necessary?
Could we see him face Roman without a Rumble win?

Option 4: eventually return but Cody vs Roman is the move.

Would rather Rock win instead of Cody.

They’re gonna mess around and have a 2014 situation if they’re not careful with Sami and the Bloodline.
They gotta get at least one of the belts on Cody.

MOVE ON. I get it, the main audience grew up on nWo, Austin, Rock, and DX. But come on. You have to let go. Christ, people on this forum are still obsessed over Hogan and Warrior figures. How can the business ever progress?

I prefer Rocky to win the Rumble as a surprise entrant. It doesn't matter if this match is ass because people will tune in and it will draw asses to those seats. The problem is if The Rock beats our tribal chief, how does he lose the belt? We could also have Rocky beat Reigns at WM, then have a rematch and Reigns comes out victorious at the next PPV. After that, Cody takes the belts off of him.

Sure, why not? If they are gonna do it though, they can't have him eliminate Sami or he will get massive heat. No matter what I think the crowd will boo The Rock, but you should at least try to make sure he doesn't get massive heat.

If he's available they simply HAVE to get him in. It's just unfortunate that the one year he has time in his schedule (apparently) is the one year they have multiple other options that the fans really want to see.
Having only one world title doesn't help either, but that's an entirely different conversation...

I don’t mind him competing in the rumble or having a match at the show as at WM but I don’t want him anywhere near the title picture. He doesn’t need it. He’s draw enough, his time is over and it’s time he put others over now if he is appearing.

I'm fine with Rock coming back to face Roman but not by winning the Rumble. Unfortunately with only one title, thats pretty much the only way to go though. I hate when part timers win it like we've seen Lesnar and Edge do the last couple of times. I'd rather they use it to elevate a mid card talent into the main event instead.

I don't mind Rock winning the Rumble, but I wish he had even a slight chance of winning at WM. I think it's clear Roman is going over there.

I dont know how Rock winning Rumble versus anyone else winning the Rumble and Rock still faces Reigns is any different.
If anyone does win the Rumble its not like they're not going to get fed to Reigns on his path to a match with Rock. So what would be the point of anyone else winning the Rumble unless Rock physically could not appear? Best case scenario is Rock wins the Rumble if they're going with Rock/Reigns at Mania.
Have the Bloodline turn on Sami at the Rumble to avoid any fan turn issues if Rock wins (albeit I don't see a fan revolt for Rock winning over Sami Zayn like they did with Roman winning instead of Bryan in 2014. I.E. 2014 Roman ≠ Rock and 2014 Bryan ≠ Sami Zayn).

I rather see Cody or Sami get their time to shine this year and we can get Roman/Rock next Mania. If this is the only time Rock has,get the title off Roman at the Rumble. Sami is the hottest thing in the company, reward him with the title and lets move on and get those titles separated. Mania you could have Roman/Rock(they don't need a title to be the main event),Sami defending the Universal title vs the Rumble winner and Cody winning the WWE title in some type of a tournament finale to crown the new champ against Seth. Maybe Sami could defend against ( Rumble winner WALTER would be great but you could also do heel KO/face Sami,Breakker,Balor)

The problem is whoever the Rock "passes the torch" to is going to be booed because he's The Rock. Plain and simple. People can whine and complain that others should move on and let the past be the past but the fact of the matter is this, he still draws, still gets the biggest pops and if they were making legends like they used to do there wouldn't be a need for the great one to return and if he did there wouldn't be such a problem finding a way to book it. The match would book itself like Hogan and Rock.
Without a shadow of a doubt there will never be a more electrifying match than Rock/Hogan in Toronto. Rock/Cena never came close. Austin/Rock was always phenomenal don't get me wrong but still not on that level. Rock/Reigns is going to have Rock being cheered and Roman being booed no matter how you book it, build it or finish it. Rock passed the torch to Cena and people still booed him. Rock tried to give Roman a rub after defeating Taker and he was booed WITH Reigns.
I wouldn't mind Rock winning the rumble just for the simple fact that it would hurt so many feelings on the internet. Although I feel it would be a waste at this time when we have Cody returning and Sami is on fire. They just need to pull the trigger on Sami to make him white hot.
Too many people act like the rumble winner spot isn't tarnished anyways. I present to you past winners that either were crap or went on to nothing like Del Rio, Mr McMahon, Lex Luger, Jim Duggan, Big John Studd, Batista in 2014 and so on.
I bring up Rock/Hogan because people seem to think that being 50 years old makes you less over with the fans somehow? Rock was 29 while Hogan was 48.

If Cody returns at the Rumble and then loses out to the Rock, no thanks. If Cody's not ready then they'll probably have Rock win it and face Roman, but if they do Rock/Roman at Wrestlemania and Cody's mid card doing nothing then that's a complete waste.
I don't need to see the Rock wrestle anymore, but I get he's one of the biggest draws in the world so I understand why they do it.
I'd just rather see someone else win the Rumble and face Roman, someone that's been on the show and makes sense.

I could easily see Cody getting booed at the Rumble if he eliminates The Rock or Zayn in the final 2. Sami is super hot atm and Rock Vs Roman is a fantasy match so a returning Cody spoiling that could gain 2014 Batista heat. People turned on him easily in AEW so it's not impossible that the same could happen in WWE.

When Edge, Brock Lesnar and The Rock are winning Royal Rumbles in the 2020s, you know something is wrong.

I would only want to see him do something casual to not get the Roman match going just yet. Plant a seed. Wait it out for a year - hell we did a year long build to Cena/rock.
Cody Rhodes should win the Royal Rumble match this time and win the world championship at Mania. I will be supremely underwhelmed if they go with Rock/Roman and Seth/Cody (non title). Can see it however.
Anyone suggesting splitting the world title belts has poor judgement and I can’t believe they would do that, would be silly to have Roman lose anything before facing rock unless he’s losing the title. After the belt/s are gone then he can just do the unhinged king of tables thing and face rock at WM40.
