In 1993 at Wrestlemania 9 we saw Hogan and beeffcake face I.R.S and Ted Dibase for tag titles
Lets sya Vince sweetened the deal for Hogan and Hogan and Beefcake won the tag titles from I.R.S and Ted Dibase
How would you have booked the title reign?

I always said that Vince missed a golden opportunity here with two top main event attractions at house shows.
On the same night, Vince could have Bret vs. Yoko for the WWF Title somewhere and Hogan/Beefcake vs. Money Inc. on another show somewhere else.
However, with that being said, the heel tag teams at the time weren't that great. You have Money Inc. which were the best, then the Headshrinkers who just came in so weren't really well established, and you had the sinking ship that was the Beverly Brothers.
Nasty Boys and Natural Disasters were either gone, or on their way gone. And both were baby face teams too.
Steiners were baby face team so they weren't gonna be wrestling Hogan and Beefcake.
Overall I feel like Hogan and Beefcake would have only worked Money Inc. until time came for them to lose the belts back to Money Inc. And you know Beefcake would be taking that pin fall loss!

It’s a good idea in theory but like someone else said, you didn’t have options to sell tickets, it’s the same reason The Steiners struggled after being promised to main event B house shows. Money Inc was on the way out, as were the Beverly’s, and The Headshrinkers were new. You had Well Done, The Heavenly Bodies, and Quebecers coming in to fill out the heel side but none of those would have been ready to draw with Hogan and Beefcake. And then did some Mega Maniacs/ Money Inc house shows through the spring anyway.

Could never understand why Vince stopped using the NDs. As a heel team they had serious legs.
Steiners needed viable opponents & Money Inc were winding down.

I don’t think business in ‘93 was good enough to support A/B house shows. They did them through part of 96, when the B house shows really weren’t drawing anyone, but yea starting in 93 outside of the Bret/Flair Yoko/Taker early 93 programs they weren’t really drawing consistently |
