Anyone have the picture that was used as reference for Elite 95 Jimmy Uso? The picture looks familiar and it’s definitely Jimmy Uso on the box, but can’t seem to find the image/timeframe. The image on the front of the box is a photoshop job, it doesn’t exist anywhere else. There was never a timeframe where Jimmy Uso had that hair. The photo on the back of the box is Jey from Money in the Bank 2021, because an actual action photo of Jimmy with those bangs doesn’t exist.

He was out injured for over a year, which must play into it. I know sometimes Mattel gets upcoming info from WWE to get a head start. I wondered if they were told (or assumed) that when Jimmy came back he’d have the bangs/mullet haircut like Jey, and then plans changed but the figure was already in production. But they’re still releasing more “Jimmy” figures like this so it must just be a conscious choice.

Pity they couldn’t have come off strong with the ultimate 2 packs and done the steiners over the usos

Pleased with everything revealed and the Q and A.
One thing, I hope that design took note of the fact that even the Usos themselves didn’t realize who was who because the hair and all. If the individual themselves can’t distinguish or mixes the characters up, that’s telling.

Give me the Galoob attires first. The Steiners were the last big grail signing I think. Depends whether you count it or not, but Jarrett was the other one. Yeah I was never a big Jarrett fan but you can’t ignore his accomplishments. But considering he’s off the table for now, my personal opinion of the top 5 names left that haven’t had a single Mattel figure, in no particular order: Pedro Morales* - may not be a household name but was the first ever triple crown winner and good mid card hand during the Golden Age. Shane Douglas - the face of ECW and Dean would be a good New Gen fig Raven - very toyetic character, one of the top guys of ECW, stood out in WCW for a while in the height of nWo, had a decent run in WWF within the hardcore division Barbarian - needed to complete PoP and his singles look is very toyetic Haku - probably the biggest name they could sign. So many looks with him. Islanders, King Haku, Colossal Connection, Meng in a suit, Faces of Fear, big hair Meng, return to WWF Haku *After thinking about it Pedro is probably not a top 5 guy as he would be a plain looking one and done figure that wouldn’t sell all that well. So maybe swap him with Mr Fuji. Several looks with him and multiple guys with Mattel figures you can display him with. Great list! Mr. Fuji is a good mention. Just need three figures of his, one as a wrestler, one in the tux as a manager (two heads: one with face paint, one without), and one in a robe as manager of Yokozuna. They could probably get this out in two figures, and one could even be a build-a-figure release (tux manager with two heads). They could pair the younger wrestler version with the robed manager version; two heads (one younger, one older), the robe, and under the robe is his wrestling attire. Dynamite Kid would be a holy grail for Mattel to get. I think another holy grail would be Hercules. For me, personally, Buddy Rogers would be one as well.

I hope the Steiner's remain signed for a long time, they had so many looks that they can do from both WCW and WWF, as tag team wrestlers and singles wrestlers. Their WrestleMania 9 attires are the ones I want as the Ultimate Edition figures, throw in the letterman jackets and the WWF tag titles with multiple heads and hands.

Dynamite would be cool but they essentially would only get one use out of him. Maybe two if they do a Coliseum Collection as well. But it’s not like they’re gonna be pushing out a bunch of British Bulldogs. Especially since there’s so many Davey Boy as a singles wrestler they have yet to do. Herc may be the 5th. Gladiator look would be toyetic and a good fit for Coliseum. Black trunks, chase blue trunks, Power and Glory would all be great to have. He’s probably the now most requested character we have yet to get.

Good news is that Hulk Still Rules (if elite) should live up to the years of anticipation with correct parts. Let’s also hope he doesn’t come with a velcro down the front or plastic split down the front shirt.

I’d prefer an Ultimate, but I’d take an Elite if that’s how they did it. As for the shirt, a solid, soft goods non-ripped/no-Velcro, version is the way to go. A distant second is a soft goods shirt with the Velcro. A never-make-this-type again is any plastic version. Plastic shirts are, in my opinion, to quote a certain beagle, “BLECH.” Apologies to anyone who likes those.

That DX shirt that came with Legends X-Pac looks great on Road Dogg. Better than his molded torso shirt or a cloth shirt. RSC nWo Macho plastic shirt looks a lot better than the UE nWo shirt. The Hogan tank top would probably also look good without the slit down the front and snap together on the side instead.

I must admit that my opinion is limited to my own experience with Hulk figures. The cloth shirts look more natural/realistic to me, but I’m basing my take on pics I’ve seen of figures with the plastic shirts. The ones I’ve seen look more like a thick vest. But if you say sometimes the plastic ones look as good or better, I’ll take your word for it. In fact, now that I think of it, the mighty Forum member and customizer Triplehpotter7 told me that he modified a solid plastic Hulk Hogan shirt, and it came out great. So, I guess plastic shirts can look pretty good. But I still think I’d prefer the cloth. I’m really hoping for some solid front Hogan shirts soon. A yellow HULKAMANIA would be so nice.

How did you mold it at the front? And, I only have one Basic Hogan. It came out earlier this year. I thought the shirt was permanently attached…? Also, what’s your take on the Defining Moments Hogan shirt? Is that worth modifying?

The intricate engraving and details on the front of the belt are exquisite! I know, I know, it’s representative of the cartoon. Just having fun.
