Now I know this hall is not the be all end all but it's still cool to see the guys honored on a big stage in front of their family/friends.This thread here feel free to talk about best/worst speeches, future inductees etc.
I'll kick it off with still the best of the best of speeches and one that will never not make me tear up

I loved the early 1990s classes because it's guys who Vince K. believed helped his father build WWWF. It really shows the human side of Vince even if so long ago. These were guys largely forgotten now unless by us die hard fans but they were people that Vince kept on in the 80s and 90s or at least brought them back many times or had them under lifetime payments. I don't think people really appreciate some of the older class guys, specifically James Dudley who is much more than a "limo driver."
I personally dislike the crap fans talk about the WWE HOF. They need to follow the baseball and football halls and how awful their selection process has been. At least with WWE we know where the inductees stand, at the time in good standing with Vince and friends. I think everyone chosen deserves their spot.
I thought Blackjack Lanza's speech was pretty awful. Just very boring and uninteresting. Maybe that's just him and it's a shame because it was his big moment. Part of me feels happy about it given how mean he looked trying to get the midgets out the ring at Wrestlemania III and also some problems he was causing a promoter trying to get him for an autograph signing a few years ago. Bobby's was probably the best, Hall's very short but meaningful. That "bad guys do" quote is something many will remember. It's good he got healthy enough to be inducted while he was alive. It's good Bobby was able to enjoy his before he lost his voice. The football Hall of Fame has often inducted guys in advanced age and illness that they can't even make a speech or if they do, it's a taped on.
I also wish they had kept it to just the wrestlers and relatives. Obviously a situation like Bret being attacked would happen but we also wouldn't get the disruptions when people are trying to tell heartfelt stories. The main reason, probably only reason, is money for WWE and I get fans wanting to enjoy something like this but one or more bad apples ruins the bunch at these ceremonies.
This year will be interesting to see a Hall of Fame that may have no Vince fingerprints on it. Will we see guys we may never have thought we would see or ones far overlooked?
Personal memories of the hall of fame: My father worked near the Baltimore hotel WWF hosted it in 94. He brought me back a paper with autos of Lou Albano, George Steele, Ted Dibiase, Don Muraco and Sgt. Slaughter. I wound up cutting them apart, not sure why and lost them all. Jimmy Valiant has cut photos of the 94 inductions where a bunch of legends were asked back and of his induction in 96. It's cool seeing the 94 pics with Regis Philbin who was a real wrestling fan. The 96 photos are cut and pasted on the 96 induction program and framed. There is also a larger photo of Jimmy, George Steele, Sikluna and someone else. In 94 Jimmy was the only guy without dress clothes. He wore a white long sleeve shirt and a black overalls. In 96 Howard F. had a suit ordered for him. Jimmy also has the letter Vince sent in for attending the 94 ceremonies. He cut and pasted a photo of Vince and the WWF logo on the letter. LOL.

With Batista originally supposed to go in a few yrs back, I gotta think he's a lock for headliner considering they're in LA Bundy would be great with his connection to LA being him against Hogan at WM II there

Big reason a lot of these guys aint in is because of the concussion lawsuit while back
But if they can resolve issues with Bruno and Warrior then they can resolve with anyone

The Philly class in 24 will be real interesting considering a lot of ECW guys have been on bad terms with em forever like Raven,Douglas,Sabu, Sandman etc
Heyman is a lock. Tag team wise I'd love for the Midnights to finally get in. They were beloved here

The Austin Cult of Personality induction video is just magnificent. did the Steiners get a cool intro video? Dont remember seeing one. Yes The thing that disappointed me about their induction was we didnt get the Steinerized! '' theme during their entrance. Most likely due to copyright but they couldve at least gave the WWF theme considering it was briefly heard in the intro video. But no they came to out generic rock music

The more 84/85 WWF I watch it still amazes me Cyndi Lauper isn't in the Hall. It's amazing to think how the business would be different if she didn't sit next to CPT Lou on a plane.
