I saw a couple of people suggest a Dark Side Hulk Hogan figure.
I didn’t get to watch a lot of WCW back then, and that whole era of a mustache-less Hogan wearing a black robe and hefting a sword was always a mystery. Either that, or I suppressed it from memory.
Anyway, I just watched a video from a series called WCW Blunders, or something like that.
I kind of wish this era had remained a mystery.
Sooo bad. But so hilarious.
“Where am I?! There’s no Hulkamaniacs here!”
And the greatest line of all: “Aaah! It’s not hot!”
Dear Mother of Mercy, that was unbelievable.
I think I may devote a shelf to what I’ll refer to as my “Weird Hogan Shelf.” It’ll be reserved for stuff like War Bonnet, Mr. America, Desert Storm, and Dark Side/Sith Hogan, if they ever make that one.
And to think, less than a year later, Bash at the Beach ‘96 would occur.

It was basically a test run to see if a change of character would work.

It was the first attempt to heel turn Hogan. It was the Hollywood look before the nwo. I believe he was shaving the mustache anyways because of a role he was gonna play for a tv series or movie so it had something to do with Hollywood in that sense anyways and then the full heel turn came a year later.
Don’t get me wrong..it is wrestlecrap and cringy but that’s what things were like then. I loved it

I loved heels growing up but also loved hulk. I wanted him to turn heel so bad and eventually got my wish when I was in college. I’m 44 and even today I’m wearing a Hollywood hogan t-shirt under my sweatshirt as I type this

A Dark Side Hogan would be a simple but fun figure for sure. You get the novelty of a Hogan without the handlebar and all the accessories
- Ridiculous sword - Phantom of the Opera mask - Big black hooded cloak
Ya gotta have the black neck brace
I'd mash it up with the dark burgundy boots from the Venice Beach promo

Man was always a cartoon character. Why I was such a big fan as a kid.

The Lord of the Rings films came out when my two oldest kids were around early elementary school age, and I bought a bunch of LOTR figures for them. The most fun one was the Gollum figure that came with a boulder accessory that, when pressed, had an audio clip. “Myyy Preciousss” used to scare the heck out of them, because I would hide it nearby and hit the button at unexpected moments.
While I’m personally not much for playsets, although I love seeing people’s displays on here that feature them, I would have the greatest time with a “Rare white Bengal tiger” Hogan figure with a Dungeon of Doom “Not Hot Water Spring” accessory that, when activated, sounded one of a few choice quotes at random.
“There’s no Hulkamaniacs here!”
“I’ve never been here before!”
“Ahhh!! It’s not hot!!”

Given all the other eras of Hogan they’re hitting, this seems inevitable.

Ya gotta have the black neck brace Look at that tan! I would have to seriously consider buying this Hogan. I remember it like yesterday but it was never anything I wanted. I may snag it, though.

Who is that homeless guy Hogan and Savage are hanging with and when are we getting an elite figure of him?

Funb hogan should come first. Even if it has to be an exclusive
