I'm a big Kane fan, and was really pissed at Mattel for bundling this into a ring playset. As an international buyer, it'd cost way too much (think it was nearly $300 or so for it, delivered to Ireland).
Now that I've seen the comparisons with the Elite, though, I don't think it's as good as I thought it perhaps would be. I feel a little more relaxed about it now and that I'm not missing out as such. It is a nice figure, and I'd have probably bought it if I didn't already have the elite, but I just think they're too similar to justify paying over the odds for this.

Here are a few more pics of the Kane that I took this morning. I have the figure back in the box now so I can't look too close at the moment but I'm pretty sure like shawnscga said there is a slight difference in the color of the mesh on his top compared to the rest of the outfit. Haven't put the ring together since I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with it considering the New Gen ring is just sitting in my closet cause I have no where to put it. So for now I might just keep the Attitude Era ring in the box until I can figure out if I want to get rid of it or find some how to display them.   |

Why they never removed the side stitched patter on this ultimate? Elite also has same issue and the ultimate also has this. Instead of tooling a new chest piece they would have sculpted a new abdomen area which do not have sculpted stitched pattern on the side.

For anyone that has both this and the New Gen rings, are the mats the same color? I saw a YouTube video that put the rings side by side and the Attitude Ring’s mat looked gray and the New Gen’s ring looked blue, but the lighting was terrible so I may have been imagining it.

I’m still waiting on my 3 to ship. I emailed ringside Tuesday and they said it would ship Wednesday. Still nothing yet.

Received mine today. Hands down the best Kane ever made now that the shiny boots have been added. This and the first Ultimate are top drawer, wish the first one had the shiny boots too.
There’s no way you can have any other Kane’s displayed with these two, they’re a huge upgrade on the old elites that never looked like him.

I’m not sure why people think if they pay more for faster shipping that means that the company will ship their item(s) faster. It has nothing to do with the company you bought it from but the company that is used for shipping. If you pay for overnight that means once it gets shipped it will be shipped overnight by the shipping company, not that the company you bought it from will ship it quicker.

It has nothing to do with the company you bought it from but the company that is used for shipping. If you pay for overnight that means once it gets shipped it will be shipped overnight by the shipping company, not that the company you bought it from will ship it quicker. they're my toys and i need them NOW! |

For those of you who choose not to use the free shipping option here is something to keep in mind. Now this might not be the case for everyone since I'm not sure if Ringside uses the same service for the free shipping for all orders but at least for me they have used FedEx Home Delivery every time. And for someone who works for FedEx I can say that Home Delivery is basically the same thing as FedEx Ground. Ground is geared more towards business addresses where Home Delivery is more for residential addresses. So if you are looking to get something quicker there is really no point in choosing FedEx Ground because you are basically paying for the same service as the free option. As a matter of fact if you pay for Ground your package most likely won't be delivered on the weekend since FedEx charges more for weekend delivery on Ground packages. But Home Delivery will be delivered on the weekend without any additional charges so in the end you might end up getting the free shipping option delivered faster than the Ground option you paid for.
So if you're looking for getting something faster at a reasonable price your best bet would be USPS Priority. That would most likely guarantee you get it within 3 days of it being shipped, no matter where you are in the country. You can also use UPS Ground but that too might not be any faster than the free option.
Ultimately at the end of the day with the cost of shipping climbing higher and higher each year I don't think there will ever be a time that I don't use the free shipping option. At least for me it saves me the most money and I don't mind waiting an extra day or two for the order to arrive.

As someone who works in ECOMM and deals with warehouses and shipping everyday, it's shocking how many people don't understand that courier companies are not the seller and vice versa. |
