Two bad bad bad BAD PPV’s like freaking van hammer is on the WCW card and Buff vs Disco. Then on the other side an awful KOR, and a bad Rock vs Taker match.
Hmmmm I guess WWF. They were hotter and the ladder match was good all things considered.

WWF, though Taker never did anything for me. I always found his matches to be a bore besides a few

Like Rick Steiner as a singles guy, sorry just did nothing for me. And Piper still in ppv;s in 99? Love the guy but what in the world

Even with Kevin Nash in the main event for the World Title for the WCW PPV, I gotta pick.... WWF on this one.
A tournament will always trump whatever else the other company is putting on.
The KOTR tournament wasn't the best that year in 1999, but all 8 superstars you could actually see winning the tournament with how over they all were then.
Plus you get Austin vs. McMahon's in a ladder match which was entertaining.
So WWF gets my win!

WWF I love Mach but I couldnt stand the ''What Up Mach'' gimmick By far his best theme song though. I’ll go with WWF for June. I remember being in Ocean City Maryland with my family and the hotel room had a fuzzy screen but with full sound so I listened to KOTR 99. |

Back then even though WCW was starting to fade I still would have chose WCW because of most of my favorites being in WCW. But now knowing what I do I would choose the WWF

WWF for this one. Other than the main event, I didn’t really have interest in anything else on the GAB card. KOTR gets the vote just being KOTR. That being said, neither show was good this month.

Despite the WWF being red-hot at the time, neither show gave much to write home about IMO. For as messy as WCW was by this point, the WWF in-ring work was just as “bad,” and the storylines didn’t give us much more either. The KOTR tournament was a mess, with a bunch of bad matches and a lackluster winner (rumor was Big Show was originally penciled to win before it was changed to Gunn due to Vince not being happy with Show’s work to that point).
Based on names alone, I’d go WCW here, but not by much. When neither show peaks my interest, the one with Sting is usually gonna win despite how bad the booking may be.
