I would totally dig Karate Master Billy Graham. Soft goods black pants that are removable, a black belt, hachimaki and a bald head with the dirty mo he had as the Karate master. I’d give him an alternate head so he can still be the “Superstar” with classic “Superstar” style tights under his soft goods pants.

I’d buy another 70’s version (preferably ultimate) with a different color and a championship belt this time

Interesting idea. I'm not a fan of the karate gimmick, but as a figure, it would be cool. I like your idea of the alternate head with removable karate pants, and underneath the pants are 70s Superstar Billy Graham tye-dye tights. For the tye-dye tights, I'd go with the baby blue or orange:

I'd like the green tye-dye tights with yellow boots (the attire he was wearing when he defeated Bruno Sammartino for the WWWF title), matching green shirt, pink beret, and the WWWF title belt. Bring back the head they used for the E78 figure, that one is tremendous, and add two more new head sculpts - one should be from mid-match with disheveled hair. mid-match, disheveled hair/screaming head:

The Karate gimmick was terrible, but we are talking about figures and if we’re talking about a 2-in-1, why not? Same with Larry Z. I’d give him a Karate jacket and a pair of “numchucks”.

I’d give him a Karate jacket and a pair of “numchucks”. 2 and 1 would definitely be the way to go for the Karate gimmick for Superstar. It wasn't very popular, so packing it with another chance to get out a 1970s look would be the best option. How would you package the figure, karate gear and bald head on the figure, or 1970s look in the package with the karate gear and extra head to the side/off the figure?

With the last figure they had the bald head on him and then the classic look to the side, so, it probably makes the most sense to change it up. Have the blonde head on him maybe and have the soft goods to the side. Or they could take the risk. It’s still the “Superstar”. Hell, give him a pink hat as well. I just want an extra head with a porno stache.

Would be a damn shame to ruin Billy’s tights. One thing I just thought of is… 70’s Billy had colourful boots and Karate master Billy wore black boots. I wouldn’t need them to be black. But maybe not pink.

So, unless they are going to start doing swappable boot for figures, the Karate gimmick figure would probably have to come with the red boots (or dark brown/green), or the 70s Superstar would have to come with black boots, so it matches the Karate gimmick.

The pic is gone now. But back when E78 shipped people were asking if Graham ever wore boas. And I posted a pic of him from the 70’s in an all black attire (tights, boots and boas) so they could use that attire for the 70’s look. And if you don’t want an all black attire they could do this one. It’s not the clearest pic but I am pretty sure the boots are black. And the stars on them would be hidden by the pants. And the way to pack the figure would be as the 70’s look with the soft goods karate attire packed to the side. And the figure would have to come with a torn apart WWF championship to recreate the best moment of his karate gimmick…when he tore Backlund’s championship apart with his bare hands while Backlund was crying “Why?!” Now that was a great memory that I would love to have on my shelves.

I’m now hoping they don’t do the karate gimmick at all. Just colorful 70’s attires and I’ll buy it.

I don't mind if they do the karate gimmick, just as long as it is a 2-in-1 with one of his 1970s looks/attires. And I agree with PJ, the karate gimmick attire and extra head should be on the side as accessories, not packaged on the figure in the box.

2-in-1 is the way to go and it should be done more often across the board. I am absolutely for 70’s “Superstar” Billy, but the last release did have a bald Billy, however, I would prefer it if he had a porno stache. I think the gimmick is funny as hell. And back then nobody knew shet about Karate/martial. So, all his hand shapes and Karate moves were great!
