Looks great! I love figures that look like toy versions of someone, rather than being an ultra realistic looking face on a toy. That's what I think made all of the original wrestling figures of the 80's and 90's so special. Yeah, you're right, it has that 80s action figure soft likeness going on. Where the face on it's own-out of context-might not look very much like the person it's supposed represent but add in all the characteristic trappings and it becomes a good enough representation.

Literally you right now: That likeness is pretty close. You can argue his face isn’t as angry or that his hair isn’t as curly but Pillman and Kurt did look alike. Pillman would wear Nirvana/Cobain shirts all the time. It really isn’t a stretch. Some might say it looks too much like his son…and that isn’t the worst thing either! Is that me stressing about the money I'm not going to spend? FWIW, my group chat that talks figures settled on "Maybe Pillman?" I did the same. All the answers were unanimous: Brian Pillman. It definitely could be better. Pillman rarely had his mouth closed and/or didn’t have soft eyes. He was always crazed in the era this represents. I definitely agree with the comment that this looks like Chris Jericho.

The figure looks good enough for me be in mind it is still a painted prototype so facial features and other things may be differ either more detailed or just flat when the figure goes through the factory and is complete. My only to critiques with it is I wish the arms were double jointed (yes I like more articulation the better) and I do wish his hair was more messy. Other than that not bad. Probably be that first time I buy anything from ZST, and with the Monday Night Wars line coming it would be best to add this version of Pillman to that collection.

The heads look off to me. Will it be coming with a soft goods shirt? I don’t recall him wearing the vest and jeans without a t-shirt.

if it ends up fitting in with mattel, a ddp heaad and some tattoo decals would grant a lot of people's wishes.
it does look good. not perfect, but good. hoping for a raven in the same scale. i feel like he's gotta be in the pipeline

I don’t remember him doing that vest without a shirt but I definitely feel like every figure and game depicted him as shirtless with a vest. I looked and I could only find one image with him as The Loose Cannon without a shirt and wearing a vest…but it was a much different vest. Maaaybe they are going to try and license a design like they did with Raven?

Pretty sure they’ve already confirmed having the license to make liquid blue tees shirt for their upcoming Mikey whipwreck figure. He wore the same brand of shirt so… fingers crossed.

I'm a huge Pillman fan, but can't see myself buying this one. The figure looks solid, but I'm happy with the Mattel version I have. I'm more interested in wrestlers Jazwares and Mattel can't/won't make.

Pillman? There's the original Legends Hart Foundation Elite, the Flying' Brian/Hollywood Blondes Vest Elite, and the 4 Horseman Basic. That said, I think the most iconic look (certainly the most iconic of his Loose Cannon era) is this Zombie one IMO. Unless the price is astronomically stupid, I think I'm cracking on it.

Isn’t the two pack with ambrose from the loose cannon era? The flyin Bryan / blondes vest with the orange trunks was the other one I was aware of, the hart foundation one must be very old?

The early Loose Canon stuff ran concurrent to his Horseman stuff. And yeah, it’s Legends 3. 2010 or 11 IIRC.

Is it just JJ and Pillman actually announced?
I think we know there will be cross over with signees on the other line but I’m most interested in raven
Soft goods can be hit n miss bit a raven with soft goods shirt, flannel and jacket could be 🤯or could be a miss.
If it’s as I see it being in my head could be my first ZST purchase cos I’m screaming for a great raven and I think while you never say never he’s as close to never as it comes with WWE / Mattel

Sorry, but if someone showed me this: without the added context and asked me to guess who it was, I don't think I'm going right to Brian Pillman. I don't think I'm even going pro-wrestler. It's a very nice Kurt Cobain sculpt, though. I could guess who this was supposed to be all day and never arrive at Pillman. If the rest of the figure is decent, I’ll be interested to see how it looks with the Mattel sculpt or one of the 3D printed heads out there.
