Like some others, i just know what i have & don't have. I know where everything is, what shelf, what pose they're in etc... Making a list of sorts would probably be a good idea actually, that way i can tally up how many i have total, then sub categories like MOC and Loose.
Having recently sold off a bunch of figures i didn't really have a place for over the past year, i do find myself sometimes wondering where something is when looking through tubs, then remembering i sold it.

I don’t really catalog them. But if I can’t remediate if I have something I just look at my photos.

I've actually never even thought about writing down all the figures I have. Maybe a good plan for the future

I wish I would've cataloged from the very start, including the price I paid. Part of me wants to know how much I've spent in total yet a larger part of me is scared to think about it lol.

Sorry if this has been asked before... but couldn't find anything on this. How do you guys Catalog your collection.. to know what you have..ect? I was thinking to create a spreadsheet ( by wrestler and what series figures I currently own) but didnt know if there was anything out that could be easier...like an App or something. Thanks, I try to always remember who I don't have when shopping also I check my collection from time to time to keep track on them. The only ones i keep in a word document is my wwe funko pop collection that way i remember those that I have.

thanks everyone .. I ended up making an excel spreadsheet.. Wrestler in 1 column, and 2nd column being what series. (E-13 , legends 8..ect) Since I dont have much room to display, they get opened, bagged and 90% get stored away in bins. It started when I had the chance to get a figure cheap and not knowing if that was the series I had or not... after digging through 3 giant bins, I decided I needed to know what I actually have lol

Majority of my collection is in plastic totes that I numbered. I use the notes app with a list of every figure I have, what series, and what number tote it’s in.

Honestly, I can't imagine not knowing what I owned.

I catalog it in my head at maybe 90% accuracy This I use the Funko app for my Pops(there's no way I can remember what Pops I have if I didn't use it) but WWE,AEW,Marvel Legends,Brawlers and TMNT stuff,I just try to remember what I have. I always wished there was some kind of visual, interactive checklist similar to the Funko app that you could use to track a collection. Probably too niche, but it would be cool.

I don't know what's all on there but my nephew was telling me today that PopPriceGuide has wrestling figures on there now and other action figs, might be worth checking out if you haven't already. I know they're great with Funko Pops.

I know what I own, but I have trouble remembering if I have already ordered or preordered something so I keep a list in a Word doc. I should probably start an Excel sheet to keep a proper catalog.

I use a notebook. I write down every figure I purchase and place them in that order.

I don't have a clue what I have. It doesn't help that I sold a bunch of figs over a year ago too, so now I might still think I have something, but I've sold it or vice versa.
I'll open a box and see a figure I didn't know I had, or sometimes I find out I've bought the same figure 2, 3 or 4 times!
I did photograph all my MOC figures before I sold some, but I've kept on buying more. I should pull them all put again and do an inventory...

I have been thinking of using a spreadsheet to catalog what I have (as mine are all individually bagged and put away into totes). I already do that for pre-orders, upcoming figures, and figures I am willing to wait for a big drop in price on. Will eventually sell off most of my collection so I will probably wait until then to bother though lol

I tend to remember what I have and what I don't. I've only messed up once or twice not counting when I had COVID and dissociated and bought an entire box of just Elite 91 Sami. That was a weird package to get later with no recollection of ordering it.
That said, I tried cataloguing it once. I still haven't figured out a good way of doing so with photos. I started making a wiki with a listing on it but it didn't get very far. I have family members who keep asking me to catalogue the collection so they can sell it easier when I'm dead and I keep telling them I want them to hollow out the bottom of my coffin and dump them all in there. I'm taking my collection with me out of spite.
