Seeing him on Smackdown (I don’t normally watch it but my WWE Network sub has been cancelled so I can’t exactly watch Steamboat/Youngblood vs. Jack and Jerry Brisco, can I?) got me feeling a little nostalgic. In your opinion which Pre-PG/Ruthless Aggression Cena Elites are the best? And preferable figures that have come out in the last 3 years.

The latest Ultimate Edition fits the criteria. It is a definitive Cena from his early reigns. He feuded with Triple H and RVD in that gear. Plus, it has the big shoe mold.
Also, Mattel needs to redo the jorts mold. It's time. It looks atrocious and ruins most if not all throwback Cena figures.
Oh and burn the 2010 sneaker and ball cap molds. No reason to ever use either of those again.

I actually bought the Ultimate Cena and Amazon had it listed as delivered. It wasn’t delivered. Seller said they would send it again. Never came. Seller disappeared and Amazon refunded me. I really wanted the figure!
I bought my son a basic, but it doesn’t cut it for me.

For rookie year I prefer the Legends. The Broncos colors pop much better than the Bulls colors of the TRU exclusive.
Dr of Thuganomics probably is the Top Picks Word Life
Late RA I’d go with Top Picks AWA style shirt (the RR08 UE may be better but OP asked for elites so went with AWA Top Picks)
