Angle vs Benoit was absolutely unreal......
One of the few times of that era where I was on my toes in wondering who was gonna win. I thought Benoit was gonna win the WWE Title many times in that match, and then Angle got the win.

As you may or may not know, I have never watched a Royal Rumble more recent than 1999. I've decided that now is the time to change that, and I'm going to let the regulars here decide which one I start with! The poll will remain open for 1 week, with a short 'report' on the event due after a further 2 weeks ( Sunday 29th January). The years included in the poll have been chosen because they were significant points in my life (in other words, I remember what I was doing at the time). They have not been chosen due to the matches at the event. Feel free to explain your vote!  Well, the year 2000 won and understandably so. For an Attitude Era event, I thought it was rather good, and a great improvement on 1999's event. It's just a shame that Triple H won the street fight. I also didn't understand why Kaientai randomly joined the rumble a few times. I don't think that added anything to the match. |

You might as well watch 2000, 2001 and 20002 in order they are all fantastic rumble matches and have fun matches on the cards too.
