Wwe has been working with the Saudi’s for several years now, hence Crown Jewel. Why would mattel quit making figures now if the Saudi’s bought wwe? If it’s “we’re not doing business with the Saudi’s” then mattel would’ve left a while back when they were doing shows for the Saudi’s.

All the women figures will need to be suited and will need to be wearing the hijab MOC.

I’m enjoying the comedy because it’s actually how I deal with stuff, but I’m not going to lie, seriously, I’m wondering this as well. Like. I went through Jakks and now Mattel, I can’t start over…not again.

MY STEINER BROTHERS! We’ve waited for so long. The only thing that took the sting out of that Jeff Jarrett tease was finding out about the Steiners. I know it’s petty, but Steiner Mattel figs are my biggest concern coming out of this lmao.

I don’t think Mattel deal will end any time soon

The panic and screaming just shows how many wrestling fans are very much in a wrestling bubble and out of touch with the real world.

Word is under the new ownership that they are doing away with plastic on figure packaging. Windowless figures. Actually, the latest word is that they’re doing away with plastic on the figures themselves. Plans are for product to be made entirely of textiles. There are already prototype pics floating around of the next Coliseum 2-pack (the one after Jake and Rude). Apart from coming off a little one-dimensional, they look pretty good.

It’s entirely plausible that Mattel pull out from making figs for WWE

Here's what's gonna happen. You're all gonna be upset for 5 days like you are right after SDCC reveals. You'll huff and you'll puff and then you'll continue buying WWE figures like you always do. If you haven't stopped buying/watching the product by now after everything that's gone down the last 5 years with this company, you're never stopping.

I really don’t think Mattel will pull out

I was at my buddy's toy shop and he had WWE marked for 8.5 billion bucks. As we were talking some guy asked if he could see so my buddy says sure and hands him the case, while that guy is looking at the company a Saudi prince walks up and says I will give you 9 billion for it as the other guy was still checking the company out LOL So the other guys says I will give you 9.5 billion lol and all of a sund a bidding war breaks out, long story short the dude that walked in bought the WWE for 10 billion bucks! lol Any of you guys see anything crazy like this in regard to American wrestling companies and I'm not talking about the insane prices on ebay lol.

Mattel and WWE recently re-upped their contract. Similarly, I doubt anything changes immediately with USA, Fox, 2K, etc. On the TV side, the shows still do top tier ratings. And many of the licensee agreements are probably pretty iron clad for the length of the deal.
The question, if this sale report is accurate, is whether companies will continue doing business with WWE beyond those contracts. And that's honestly up in the air. I don't think there's any direct parallel. LIV was a startup with top tier talent, but the PGA is and remained the established brand and already had tv deals with many of the big networks. WWE is the premiere brand in wrestling and has established tv deals and a long track record. I think you'll see some companies back away, but I wouldn't be so sure everyone will get out of the swimming pool.
And not to o too tin foil hat, but I do wonder if this might be the first in a sequence of moves. The Saudis could be financing the company going private with some handshake deal that Vince would have the opportunity to buy back some portion of interest in the company.

Your last statement is where my mind keeps going. IMO, if this is all true, it’s a way for Vince to be in control of the company again but it’s private and not public. They went public because it was the best money move. This is a money move right now. It’s all about the money at the end of the day and that’s for most every company.

If Mattel stay on: At worst we won’t be getting female wrestlers or Sami Zayn ever again. At best more legends, they will ease up on guys like Jay Strongbow and legends who have committed crimes/murder against women…because they won’t give a shit.
Seriously though it’s worrying. I don’t watch the current product but do collect the figures. Some of the current talents future will be in doubt…especially if Vince regains creative control. Not sure how Mattel higher ups will feel. Vince salting the Earth
