When the concept started it seemed like a great idea, although I'm not happy about having to buy multiple figures I don't need to make one that I do.
However...my problems started when I couldn't get one of corporate kanes arms to fit in. Simply doesn't not click in. Ever. The same thing happened with Paul ellering, only I had to buy 3 edge in order to obtain ONE TORSO as two of them wouldn't accept the arms.
Now iv just bought the Rick rude set, only to find that once again one arm isn't clicking into place.
Has anyone else had issues?
Mattel are clearly to distracted by re-releasing old stock and not paying enough attention to quality. This totally sucks. Iv spent nearly £100 for one build a figure and his waste pops off way to easy and his arm won't go in.
Sick and tired of this mattel. To often this happens.
It sucked then It sucked now It will suck forever.
Please sort this nonsense, or the entire board of directors can all suck...
Together.

Sorry to hear, I had the same problem with Ellering, it was frustrating but then I saw that board member Nivro posted what the problem was and how to fix. Can’t remember the details but it was a simple fix using warm water. Had something to do with shoulder peg being backwards I don’t think the torso is the problem.

I haven’t purchased the Rude or Doc sets yet, but I haven’t had a problem with any of the other BAF set.

If anyone has a fix I'd be grateful. Ellerings right arm is going to bring out the uncle howdy in me. Revel....in what you build

My Rude and Dok were both good but I've had this problem in the past. Ellering and Michael Cole definitely, specifically with the arms not going in. Can't remember if there have been others.
The Dok is my favorite BAF they've ever done, but I do think micro/macro conversation, the BAF idea could receive a lot more attention in general. Comparatively, Marvel Legends just did a Khonshu that's an absolutely beautiful figure from Moon Knight. It feels like Mattel could be doing a little more with the concept imo.

If you are going to do a build a figure then at least put some thought into its workings. And they all seem to have the cheap black suits. Vince was like a knock off version of e55 vince. Mean gene is pathetic in comparison to his flashback figure, and they even cheaped out with Rick Rude- fairly sure that would have looked better if it was brown.

Had another attempt there - the arm doesn't even begin to clip in. I wonder how many of these were faulty? I'm totally hacked off at how cheap these figures are. Daylight robbery

Are you sure you are lining them up (the groves) for proper fit? Are you possibly putting the arms on the wrong sides? Ive had that issue before where i thought the left was the right or vice versa because of the way the arms were positioned/twisted in the package. Otherwise ive never had a problem with any of the BAFs. And i have them all

You need to pop that joint off and flip it around. Use some hot water to get it out.

Thank you - I see what you mean, the problem seems to be the body now because my ellering arm that won't go in looks like the arm on the right. The peg looks perfect but just won't attach at all. When I put the ATM in the opposite side it works,so it's the body sadly. Bugger. But thank you !

I've had two build a figures and both had the same issue - Ellering is the worst none of the joints seem to click into place.
Great concept. Poor execution .

My Mean Gene legs refuse to snap into the torso no matter how hard I try.

My Mean Gene legs refuse to snap into the torso no matter how hard I try. There’s a ring on the torso hole with a notch on each side. On the peg for theclegs, there are two tabs that stick out. Line up the tabs so that they slide into the notches on the ring. That always works for me when I can’t brute force the legs to snap into place.

The only problem I ever had was Paul Ellering. The arms have two different types of pegs so you can’t put the wrong arm on the wrong shoulder socket. The first Chyna I got came with arms with the same peg on it. Apparently this was a common manufacturing defect with that set. I returned it and got a Chyna that had the correct pegs in the Paul Ellering arms.
Ellering aside, I never had any other issues with BAF figures. My only complaint is Booker T’s jacket’s arm holes expose the yellow shirt underneath and Corporate Kane was in a blue suit while the basic wrestling attire Corporate Kane had black pants. So if Kane is wrestling a match he changes from a blue suit to black dress pants? C’mon, man. He should’ve been in a black suit.

Ive only had issues with the Vince and Ellering Bafs, and both were fixed using hot water.
I'm sure it should still work for others, I didn't buy the full rude BAF set because I used both heads for commissioner Michaels and legends warrior suits.
My doc set was perfectly fine.

Not one piece of my dok will stay together. Torso and legs:no. Arms in torso: no. Could only get the head on the torso. That’s a little ridiculous to me.

My Vince isn’t working either. I’ll try the method listed above.
