Figured this could go here since ROH and AEW are sister brands. If it needs to be moved, totally understand.
I am in total shock. Just had one of the best matches I’ve ever seen a month ago. WOW.

Man, life can be so cruel sometimes. Never know when your time is up. Payers and good vibes for his family. RIP 🙏🏼

This sucks greatly on so many levels!
The greatest ROH tag team champions ever were Jay and Mark. I feel for Mark too now, I know he will never be the same in the ring without his big brother there.
R.I.P. Jay!

I've been aware of the Briscoes for a long time, but only been exposed to their work through AEW. I quickly became a fan of theirs. Such a shame that they never got the exposure, through Dynamite or WWE, that they deserved.
Absolutely gutting, thoughts going out the Dem Boys family, and especially Mark.
RIP Jay Thanks for the memories.

Jay was a guy who had a sh** mindset, changed it and by all accounts became a better person through it. The guy was so good in the ring. You can’t talk about the best tag teams of all time without mentioning the Briscoes. Their match with FTR in Dallas is honestly my favorite tag match I’ve ever got to see in person. This is such a ing bummer. That’s way too young to go. It’s such a shame he and Mark never got to show what they had in the big leagues, but they left a fantastic catalog regardless. Rest in Power, Jay.

For those wanting to watch his work, youtube is currently loaded with Briscoes matches as well as some from Jay’s solo run. Definitely recommend.

It was only 5 hours ago my Dad mentioned on the phone that he was looking forward to watching the Briscoes again soon.
Horrible news, much love to the families concerned in the crash, one more person is dead and two critically injured
RIP.

Back in 2017, I worked at a Sinclair TV station. ROH would cut promos every few months and the stations could request specific promos for the station, like have Jay Lethal say ‘you’re watching ROH on KBBL’. The promotions guy, unbeknownst to me, got some of the guys to cut promos on me. The Briscoes cut a great one that makes everyone who ever sees it instantly laugh. Later that year I went to Supercard of Honor in FL, and got a pic with them. I told them the story and played the video for them. They laughed and got a huge kick out of it.
Last year at WrestleCon, they had the last match of the night and Jay stayed out after and talked to everyone and took pictures. I got another picture with him on the ramp and mentioned the promo he cut on me 5 years earlier. He instantly started laughing and totally remembered.
RIP Briscoe, thanks for the memories.
