it's well known in the collecting/scalping community that nothing increases the price of a collectible than the death of the person/character
I sincerely doubt any of the money spent in these "proceeds will go to" auctions will actually go anywhere other than the bank account of the seller (which will then be spent on their next bulk of inventory)

Anyone can just write that in the description. I think auctions can be set up to actually show its involved with a donation or charity so the buyers can actually see where the money is going.

Also considering he just died and the kids are in the hospital as well, I doubt anyone has set this up to help the family.

Oh wow just read about it - I really hope those funds are going to the family
Tbh I wouldn’t think it out of the realms of possibility for Tony k / aew to do something. He does seem to be very caring like that, like how they looked after brodies family. I could see a figure or done merch with proceeds going to the family or something similar

The Micro Brawlers and figure posts are still up but was edited to remove donation reference. So either he no longer wants to give the family “proceeds” or he was never in the first place.
