I can’t understand how they thought the strap was blue…Takes a 5 second google search to find out it wasn’t. I’ll definitely be painting the strap on one of the two I end up getting…For those who have experience with this, what would be best to use? Acrylic paint? Spray paint? I do a lot of customs and this works well and matches the shine of the mattel figures. I also painted a custom barbarian using pieces of a seth rollins fur coat that had the pliable material similar to the belt. It adheres well and is not tacky. You can get the paint in the craft aisle at meijer or online at michaels.com  |

Vallerjo Acrylics - water - soapie in a 1-1-1 mixture I had good experiences with this painting MOTU Classics upperlegs (soft/rubber plasic). The paint really soacked in the material and was impossible to remove afterwards. This way I made a skintoned upper leg a green one for my Tri-Klops variant. You may have to paint it 2-3 times but the result will be as best as possible. The soapie will also provide a nice shine (not too much) so the color will not look as matt as usual. |

Today marks 30 years since the passing of Andre The Giant. To honor his life and career, I thought I would do a deep-dive on the championship belt that Mattel recently included with the Elite 100 Andres! The Andre 87 is possibly my all-time favorite belt. I never believed Mattel would make one so I have collected a number of figure replicas over the years to try and fill that void. Needless to say, I was floored when Mattel announced they would be making one! My only major complaint would be the strap color being blue instead of black. My minor criticisms are the side plates aren’t painted (the flags) and some of the paint on the belt is slightly off as you might notice. Just wanted to throw this out there: I haven’t gotten my hands on a new WWESHOP replica. At this time they are $500 and I’m sure they are worth every penny to collectors. That said, Fandu is now lowering their price with belts starting at $209.
