As I've said before I'm lucky to live in my girlfriend's house and she mentioned to me yesterday that she sceduled to have some repair work done this Thursday. The type of repair that needs to be done will require the repair guys to enter several rooms including my room where I display all of my wrestling figures. The problem is both me and her will work that day, I thought about calling in work sick but I just called in last Monday to watch Raw so I don't want to push that again. I thought about throwing sheets and blankets over my figures but if they are indeed shady repair guys I'm afraid that will only entice them to take a peek under the blankets and I'm afraid they might take some of the more valuable ones. Have any of you guys ever had a similar situation and what was your solution??

Nope. You should put the sheets on top of your figures. I doubt some repair dudes would know your figures are valuable. I display my figures loose on a glass detolf. Just two days ago I took down my roster and put them in two boxes.

How would they know which ones are valuable? Obviously they could look them up on ebay if they really wanted to. If they go into people's houses and steal stuff, then I doubt they would get a lot of work. If there is a chance they could damage your figures then I would move them. You need to show us pictures of your setup btw.

Yeah, take a day off and stay home. Also, does your girlfriend have any younger, prettier friends that would let me live with them and set up my wrestling figure collection in their house, LOL?

If you end up taking off work, make sure you get enough snacks for you and the repair guys.

Man that 20 hr work week can be grueling and hard to work around! Head up king I love u. But for real I lived in sketchy ass apartments and they’re more likely to steal your weed than your wrestling figures. Like others said move em if your worries about damage. If they get stolen file an insurance claim or your gf may have to as it’s probably her insurance for the apartment

The only thing to do in this situation is to get a chuck Norris esq security guard. DTA when it comes to figures. Especially the Hulkster figs. You can’t take chances. Also what’s more important work or the figs? Work doesn’t care about you, you’re just another gear in the machine. You’re collection is what matters. Just call out again.

I have surveillance cameras all around my perimeter property, I have a big pitbull guard dog and I sleep with an aluminium bat next to me.
