My biggest fear was that Cody winning was too obvious and they were gonna swerve and let Gunther win. That guy bores me in ways no English teacher ever could. His matches are like an old SOL test and his promos are worse than any Woah Vicky video ever made. Maybe it’s just me but Gunther just looked awkward and clumsy throughout that Rumble and I don’t get the fuss about him either. Cody winning was so pedestrian and predictable, I wouldn’t have been opposed to Dominik pulling some shiz and eliminating him for an upset win. Imagine the heel heat and the crowd response to that. As this is wrestling, there’s a ton of ways they could have a cocky Dom lose his title shot to Cody between now and Mania and get them back on the original course pretty easily. My worry is that if they’re going with Cody despite the unexpected gem they’ve stumbled on with Sami Zayn, that Cody getting the forced Roman Reigns/Rocky Maivia push could cause the crowd to turn on him. The Zayn “organic babyface” situation reminds me of Daniel Bryan all over again. Re Dom winning by screwing Cody but maybe Cody going mania after course is corrected. First thing that come to my mind was austin winning in 97 after being eliminated then the final 4 PPV. Very easy to work something akin to that I think most would predict Cody irrespective or the number he come in at |

Not the most recent rumble but watched 06 Rumble the other night and did anyone have doubts who was gunna win between cena and edge when cena (the damn challenger) came out to the ring via spaceship runway?? That was insane I didn’t remember that at all. Rey and hhh really were the entire rumble. Good showing for Chavo too even though he wasn’t in a fraction of the time. If they get rights to carlito again that rumble attire would be dope I’m the purple. I’ll take shelton from that match too. I love angle but why did him send mark henry main event lol
