Are we assuming there won’t be Battle Royals at WrestleMania?
Easy way to get most/all of the roster on the show.

I hope not but you would assume all this stuff with Corbin will lead to something.
Hopefully we get Riddle/Solo but Riddle running out of time to get back.

Forecast is looking like a 100% chance Cody becomes mid career Cena with the "let's go Cody/Cody sucks" chants the night after WM.

Cody getting all the crowd invested whether cheer or boo, selling tons of merch, house show ticket sales increasing when he’s announced Sounds like a face of the company to me

Hell that’s probably anyone in wrestling over the last decade plus. Fans will turn on anyone and they’ll do it quick. Probably why WWE doesn’t give in at every turn. While the fans and the fan response is very important, they can’t change up their plans every time the fans decide they’re gonna start booing a babyface, usually for no good reason.

That's fair but in my own opinion if another option pops up on its own organically, you give it some breath. Whether that option is better or not is obviously arguable but I do think with the two titles being stuck on one guy they want to book strongly that they painted themselves into a corner bc they could have never predicted Sami's meteoric rise while they were planning Cody's crowning moment. I get it. They don't want to give to Sami by taking from Roman which would in turn make Cody's moment smaller. Makes the most sense business wise of course.

I’m probably in the minority on this but I think Sami will cool off way to quickly after all this whether he wins a title or not. He’s not “The Man” material and I’m not a fan of a transitional champion being the first to beat Roman after all this time. Would it be a hell of a pop? Absolutely. Would it be cool to see? Yes. Is it the best option long term? Absolutely not imo

A lot of the bratty, “I’m going to my room, you’re not my real dad” type anti-fans seem to have been replaced by normals in the crowds now. WWE audiences since the pandemic have been way less smarky. Meltzer and co have been begging fans to boo Cody since the Rumble and it hasn’t happened yet. Maybe it will later, but for whatever reason, Cody seems to be clicking in a big way with TV noise, ratings, merch and ticket sales. So even if some of the manufactured online hate for him does spill into Raw crowds some weeks, I don’t think it’ll matter. It still makes me laugh that anyone would point to any stage of John Cena’s main event career as something that a wrestler wouldn’t want.

I don’t think a lot of fans realize they are their own worst enemy when it comes to what they want. Liv Morgan for example.. fans were behind her and she wins MITB and the title and within a couple weeks the fans are booing her for no reason. And as far as Cena goes, he got a 50/50 reaction for years and years and sometimes even mostly boos. He shows up now to huge cheers and he boosts ticket sales and ratings. That’s what stars do.

All through Cena’s career… “WWE hasn’t made a star since Rock and Austin.” Through Reigns’ career… “WWE hasn’t made a star since John Cena.” Some fans are so fickle that they refuse to enjoy anything until a few years have passed and they can watch it without being mad that it’s not “the booking” they fantasised. That sort of negativity has subsided since fans were allowed back in and since HHH took over the writing, but these last few weeks some people have been desperate to bring it back.

That sort of negativity has subsided since fans were allowed back in and since HHH took over the writing, but these last few weeks some people have been desperate to bring it back. It seems like the same old cycle. Fans got tired of Hogan and he eventually turned heel and was as over as he ever was. Wrestled the current top star at the time and fans overwhelmingly chose Hogan. Rock experienced a similar path. Cena went through it. Roman - well, no one wanted him as the guy until he switched heel and he’s at the peak of his career Cody will probably get some boos and fans will likely turn on him but give it a few years and he’ll be legendary status. Wrestling fans are always trigger happy and want to quickly move onto the next man up. Then when they’re tired of the next man they’ll be begging for the last man back. Like I said, it’s why WWE doesn’t let fans completely drive their stories. They’d be fools to do so.

I just don't want it to happen to Rollins again, the guy is so f*cking great at being a heel they gotta give him a face turn and we start all back over again with the fans hating on him for no reason.
And I don't think Cody gonna hear that many boos at Mania or Raw

How many titles does anybody think gonna be retained at Mania? Every title match I can see the challenger winning besides the US personally but that seems to many unless Trips wants to hit the restart button and start over completely in his image. Cody, Sami/KO,Rhea and Ronda/Shayna almost feels like locks at this point to me. That leaves Bianca/Asuka and the IC championship, both in which seems like have a very good chance at changing hands too.

Absolutely not imo Bingo, love Sami but he's not a long term main event and truly why he's so over right now is based on his chemistry with Jey Uso.Somehow or someway those two should be tag team champions moving forward.Thats where the money is at with those two being over as a major babyface tag team to go along a mega babyface world champion in Cody Rhodes.

I know a lot of people wanted Sami to win, and while I’m not saying it would’ve been a “wrong move” I just didn’t see where everything would go this close to Mania. Say Sami wins.. is it Sami vs Cody? So you finally have someone beat Roman and it’s a 6 week transitional champion What happens to Roman? Triple threat for the title? Not a good call imo Roman vs Jey? So what happens with the tag titles? What’s KO doing? While Sami is super over, they made the right call. You need “the next guy” to beat Roman and Cody Rhodes is that guy. Sami can be and probably should be champ at some point but now isn’t the time. There’s still plenty of mileage to get out of the Bloodline/Sami story. No need to throw your Mania plans for several guys in disarray just to make a title change at EC. 2 1/2 years as champion and not being pinned in over 3 years is WrestleMania material, not Elimination Chamber for a pop material.

If its Cena he faces,I think Theory gets his huge Mania moment and they get a new star out of the match.
