Ouch!!!I never realized how many times this move almost ended with the opponent breaking their neck. You would think management would have taken this one off the menu after the first botch especially on the heels of the Chad Austin incident. They never got a true push in the WWF, but the Beverly Brothers were a solid tag team who don't get talked about enough. They obviously had a pretty wicked finishing move as well as one of the sweetest theme songs ever. And if you ever need help identifying them, just remember the mustache and that Blake is the one with the rake. 👍

I knew what to expect but then saw the first two didn't look so bad. Then it gets MUCH worse. I see the first two were probably earlier in their run, with Coach. The move should have banned but I'm sure very few of the top tier talents were willing to stick up for the jobber because "you got to pay your dues." I can't speak on their AWA run, the were in WWF during a time when the tag team scene was really bad and they never really cracked past Bushwhacker feud level-aside from the Summerslam tag title match where it was probably either them or Money Inc for the hundredth time. I feel like they benefited from the gimmick era of WWF because I know Mike Enos never really did much in WCW. After Beau left WWF, Blake became a JTTS himself.

Yeah, that last jobber clip pops up every once in a while on YouTube, but I had no clue you could make an entire highlight reel of that move where the end result is almost hard to watch. Always assumed that move was supposed to finish with the opponent taking a flat belly bump because that seems like the most safe route.

I will never understand why they didn't face the Legion of Doom at SummerSlam when they were feuding with them all summer. I really wanted to see the LOD rip them apart!

Yeah they basically feuded that whole summer with the ''Legion of Sissies'' stuff.Made no sense not to blow the feud off then As far as Disasters go, have em defend the belts against Money Inc

Obviously considering Hawk went AWOL after Summerslam probably a good choice, but yea like others have said just have them beat the Beverlys.

"Luscious" Johnny V was better than The Genius and the Coach combined!
For Johnny V got them their AWA World Tag Titles, for The Genius and Coach never got them a WWF World Tag Title.

I've heard the ORIGINAL idea was for LOD to win the tag titles back from Money Inc at SummerSlam. But then failed drug tests and difficulty backstage changed those plans. I'm sure LOD insisted on at least getting their win back from Money Inc and probably saw them as a higher profile team, so we got the match minus the belts at stake since Money Inc instead dropped them to the Disasters for a bit.

Didn't they try pushing Blake Beverly as a single in the summer of 1993? I remember him having some singles matches on Raw during this time. I remember they changed his gear a bit, they switched around the colors.

That makes sense as I remember at that SummerSlam there was a poster of the LOD with the Tag Titles with their gold and black shoulder pads on and they debuted those pads that night at SummerSlam. So I could see the LOD taking the titles that night.

Yeah, I've heard that as well. They were supposed to win the tag belts back from Money Inc. at SSL92, but Hawk was becoming more and more difficult to deal with. I didn't hear about him failing another drug test, but I'm not surprised. Here is the pic of them in the gold shoulder pads and Tag Titles:

I'm still hoping these get released someday, they would look great in the legends elite line:
