Back on the topic of the Beverly Brothers, The WWF match I always think of when I think of this run is the Rumble match with the Bushwhackers
Terrible match but Bobby on commentary ripping on Jamison makes up for it

That makes sense as I remember at that SummerSlam there was a poster of the LOD with the Tag Titles with their gold and black shoulder pads on and they debuted those pads that night at SummerSlam. So I could see the LOD taking the titles that night.
Yeah, I've heard that as well. They were supposed to win the tag belts back from Money Inc. at SSL92, but Hawk was becoming more and more difficult to deal with. I didn't hear about him failing another drug test, but I'm not surprised. Here is the pic of them in the gold shoulder pads and Tag Titles:
Wow, look at Hawk's eyes in that photo. He looks high as a kite there too!!

Didn't the Beverly Brothers wrestle Money Inc. for the Tag Titles on Raw in a rare heel vs. heel match around either before or after Wrestlemania IX??

They also fought the Nasty Boys on one of the weekend morning shows that same month and that was it. Beau would leave and Blake would enter jobberville

LOD were set to lose the titles to Money Inc at WM8(exact same finish) & regain them at Summerslam.
Hawk failing a drug test in January meant Vince wouldn't even wait until SNME in Feb.
Plans seem to be LOD would chase Money Inc to Summerslam & beat them but Hawk failed another test in the Summer.
I really wish Vince had brought Enos & Bloom in as The Destruction Crew. I mean he didnt change the Nasty boys? Pity.

Really, I always thought they were going to a LOD vs. Natural Disasters match at WM8. I figured the Disasters would win the match at WM8 then lose the titles back to LOD at Summer Slam. I was kind of shocked at the time when I heard DiBiase and IRS were now a tag team and were the new tag team champions, they seemed to be thrown together rather quickly. They had a few tag matches, but they weren't promoted as a tag team, they came out separately (if I remember correctly) and Sherri was still DiBiase's manager.

WWF Magazine claimed it would be a street fight between LOD and Disasters, I don't even think there were pictures of them just text. There was a picture of Money Inc. v. Duggan and Slaughter. Not sure who else was pictured but remember a six man tag in text: Bulldog, Bossman, Virgil v. Nasty Boys and Mountie. This WM had a bunch of changes. It's odd to think the previous 5 or 6 mania's had more matches and more wrestlers involved and very little, if any changes. I really can't think of any changes in those manias.

I know Duggan said in the past the plan was him/Sarge vs Money Inc.Makes sense. Battle of the newly formed teams
Shame we never got an ending to the LOD/Disasters feud

Vince & Pat didn't like what they seen from LOD & NDs. You would assume if they had? The NDs would have been the ones to take the straps off them. Obviously Vince didn't want the programme to continue. Duggan/Slaughter vs Money Inc was very early days...

No chance in hell but man instant buy if they ever made a DC 2 pack.Give em sledgehammers and the AWA tag belts I always wondered how they were able to be the Minnesota Wrecking Crew II in the NWA while still being the Destruction Crew AND AWA tag champions. I'm guessing Ole & Verne hatched out some sort of deal?

Didn't they try pushing Blake Beverly as a single in the summer of 1993? I remember him having some singles matches on Raw during this time. I remember they changed his gear a bit, they switched around the colors. Yeah he was used in the jobber role. The 2 matches I remember from the stint are losses to 123 Kid and Razor He got a singles win over Virgil on Superstars. Immediately after the win he shouts at the camera, “I can’t be beat!”.

I wonder what the guys closing in on 60 think of what they did to jobbers when they were younger? Something tells me the Steiners would still do it all over. But I wonder about Mike and Wayne and others.

What, their finishing move, the Shaker Heights Spike? Yes. Well when they were the Beverly Brothers they were billed from Shaker Heights, OH, and the move was the basically spiking their opponent into the mat.
