I hope the King can kick out of another one!
Earlier today, it was reported that WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler was hospitalized on February 6th following what was termed a “serious medical issue.”
The report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider noted that Lawler had been out to lunch with friends earlier in the day, and sometime after that suffered a medical episode and was rushed to the hospital. News began circulating after fellow WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton wished Lawler well on social media.
A further report from Memphis, TN’s Action News 5 provides more information about the situation, noting that Lawler, 73, suffered a stroke in his home and underwent emergency surgery yesterday. He is currently recovering in the hospital.

Dutch Mantel gave some updates on Twitter. He said that there was initial paralysis, and that he's since regained some use of his arm, plus his speech was affected. The doctor said his condition is good, and he should recover from this.

Hope he can get back to close to what he was as possible. My uncle just had a massive stroke last Monday and is starting to recover after it looked real bad.

From King's official Instagram. They posted a few pics, but just posting the one. “Update on Jerry: Jerry had a massive Stroke on monday afternoon in ft. myers Florida. He is stable now in a Ft. Myers hospital and now able to walk and groom himself. His speech is limited, but he will regain a full recovery with rehabilitation. He thanks all of his friends, family & fans for the continued prayers and looks forward to seeing everyone and getting back to work in the near future. Jerry received a nice visit with long time friend, Jimmy Hart today.”
