In all honesty, I think the best Bret Hart headsculpt is still the Hasbro. Nobody has managed a good glasses-off likeness for Bret. Same with Macho Man.
Obviously that’s not helpful for what his best Mattel headsculpt is, I’m just bitter that we get such great figures now but some of the old guys are still seemingly impossible to get the face and hair right.

PJ Just as I suspected.... He looks beautiful. Thank you again. I have to say this is my favorite Bret scan up to date. I'm super tempted to buy the elite/Target UE head to swap onto my DM WCW fixup. Still makes me super upset that Mattel screwed up the only WCW pink Bret with that salmon pink. I want to see Mattel try and sculpt the hair strands on his forehead like Jakks did. They keep trying to execute it, but they come out looking like dreadlocks imo.

I didn’t like that scan, but those WCW style glasses improve it tremendously. I’m kind of wondering how much some of his scans would be improved with dark brown hair instead of jet black.

I like this one, especially for 97 Bret. I think it captures his condescending smile and snarky attitude.  I hope they include it with any future WCW era figures.  |

The best Bret likenesses are the smiling and serious ultimate heads. They look just like him. Anyone who says differently doesn't actually remember what Bret looks like because they've spent 20+ years looking at terrible Bret figures lol

I actually think the best Bret Hart head of all time was his Jakks Classic Superstars Series 1 figure.
Edit: Actually, going back and looking at it again, I retract my statement. It looked better in my memory.

theyre close right now. they just need to work out his forehead / top of his head and then the brets will be good. i have no clue why-with all the technology available- that they cannot nail a bret. ive seen 3d printed heads on the aftermarket that are the quality of SH Figuarts realism

Elite 94 is my favourite, but I do really like the Survivor Series Elite and that whole figure in general.

My fav bret sculpt is the Jakks Deluxe Aggression, with the yelling/screaming expression. They nailed hogans likeness last year, let’s hope they can get Hitman right.

The one from the build a McMahon fig wasn’t that great I thought and so I put AJ Styles next to him on my display and made it where AJ’s shovel is blocking The Hitman’s head  |

Bret has a weird likeness which is difficult to capture in figure form. I'd say contrary to popular opinion my favourite headscan is the first DM.
