I missed 1997 and early 98 WWF so I went back and watched from the night after the screw job onward. I’ve skipped through some stuff, but working my way back up to Backlash 2002, and then plan on watching RA stuff because I completely missed 12 years or so of the product.
I’ve also watched some pre 1997, but I just don’t really enjoy it.

I’ll watch anything from the 70’s until now because the mid 70’s until now is what I started watching.

Tons. Pick and choose though I've never like done a "rewatch" thing where I go through weekly shows or anything like that. The majority of my 'retro time' is spent in golden era WWE and early 90s through end of WCW, but I'll dabble everywhere from really really old (Like Verne Gagne old) stuff on youtube through today. I love all of it just depends what I'm in the mood for.

Absolutely! The more wrestling the better! I took a decade off starting around 1998 so ever since the Network started I've been doing a slow binge of all the WWF stuff on there. I'm up to mid-2001 (because I really take my time and I watch so much Japanese wrestling that my modern Japan stuff/AEW comes first). Sometimes it can get a bit tedious (it was way more fun to binge when there was only Raws and no Smackdowns, the extra show really drags down a binge) but I'm glad I've done it. 1997 and 2000 absolutely rule and watching it all in real time was 1000 percent worth it.
Also I love watching the really old stuff as late-night/relaxing watches. I'm currently watching old Mid-Atlantic/Crockett shows from the early 80s often before bed. They're fun as hell and just a great late-night chill watch.

I watch a bit of the 70s. There is some great stuff in there. World class, and mid Atlantic as well.

I only rewatch what I saw live (the era 1985-2000 wwf and wcw).

Look, I respect the hell out of the wrestlers from back in the day. They laid the foundation. But I will never understand how fans didn't die of sheer boredom in the 60s and 70s. Because they actually appreciated wrestling presented as a sport, and they weren’t overstimulated like us. Like, it’s fine to not like it, but it needs to be acknowledged that modern wrestling has been polluted with so much horse manure from bad booking to hot shotting, to the boys learning the wrong shit, that it had raised a generation of fans who are distinctly different from the previous 70 years of fans. And this later crop is not as capable of appreciating wrestling as it was intended, because they’ve been educated to never be able to take wrestling seriously as a rule, but instead as an exception.

Of course. Even when I started watching at age 9, I asked my parents if I could rent every Wrestlemania on vhs. Always been a fan of stuff I wasn’t alive to watch live or just didn’t get to see. Two years ago I binged every New Gen PPV and fell in love with the era. Best part of being a wrestling fan is that there is more than just the stuff happening now to check out.
Funnily enough I just started talking to this girl who is a fan. She started in 2018 and hasn’t watched much before that. She’s a big Mox fan and likes death matches so last night I introduced her to Mick Foley matches via the Hell In A Cell match and now she obsessed.

I started watching NWA in the 80s and I still stand by what I said. 60s and 70s wrestling is boring as sht but that doesn't mean I don't respect the legends.

I’m used to dealing with fans who have no knowledge of anything outside of what was current for the time to the present. Are you referring to the TV matches or the footage of the house show matches? Because it’s fair to not be entertained by much simpler presentations, but you still need a baseline for booking plausible shows that allows you to do more exciting things later. If every match tries to be 7 stars, then no matches are 7 stars.

Not really sure how to explain why, but it just doesn’t interest me to do so. A match, TV episode, or PPV here or there? Of course. But to watch an entire year, or years? I can’t.

What is the point of saying something if people are never expected to consider things beyond the surface level?

Yeah- I didn't get to watch wrestling as a kid (Other than the "Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling," lol), but got in to it when I was in high school, in The Attitude Era. I stopped watching regularly probably in 2006(?), but got back in to it. So, with Peacock and Hulu, I'll go back and watch some old highlights that I've missed (like Royal Rumble matches), but I need to watch more.

Yup, absolutely. If I'm itching to watch Wrestling I'll ask someone in the house "pick a year", and then I'll go watch a PPV from that year.
I'm about to start watching Raw/Smackdown from the night after WM2000 up until Wrestlemania 17 because that's my favourite PPV year's in WWE but I've never seen any Raw's in full Pre Mania 17.
I think with the Network we are completely spoiled on wrestling to watch, and I love it.
