I know this isn't real because of who posted it.
However, having previously worked in a toy store for three and a half years - the employees are absolutely right. The sign is part of the shipper, and if they were to give it away and then receive an Area Manager visit, they would be marked down for it. The rule was that (unless the shipper was going to be used again in the future) once it came off of the floor, it could be given away then if someone wanted it.

Wow. I needed that laugh. Thanks a bunch.
That said, I did this once with a sports bar and a PPV poster. They just let me have the poster when the PPV was over.

theman might possibly live in Elkton, Maryland - because the shipper there was curiously missing the Wrestlemania banner across the top of the display.....

Ignoring the nonsense of the original post I have had a few shippers once they are done with and shops (over here anyway) are very nice and accommodating. My eldest has a few full Topps card sets in binders on a Topps one for example. Also we bought the last 5 mystery minis a shop had so asked if we could have the shelf container theyâre shipped in and they said yes so once opened we taped them back closed and used that to display the minis on.
Another thing weâve done is ask McDonaldâs for the cabinet display and full sets of happy meal toys from the display if itâs a set the kids like (such as the secret life of pets ones) and the staff are always lovely about it. We put $10-$15 in the Ronald McDonald charity donation box and they call us when the promotion has finished and we collect them
iF youâre polite and nice to people then you mind find people giving you the same courtesy back. That includes accepting if they say no and not being a dick. Sometimes people are not allowed to do certain things.

Yeah,I use to ask Target and TRU all the time for their Funko displays when its only one or two left and I've only been turned down once and that was because they was already holding it for somebody. I also asked Wal-Mart for the top of the first AEW shipper for my nephew and they called soon as the figs was gone,no problem at all and the employees was nice every time. I remember when I was a kid,I use to collect McDonalds toys and my dad would ask the local McDs for some of the displays and one of them would save absolutely everything for him(the cabinet displays, the real thick plastic banners, posters, unused cups&bags, toys they didnt sell, etc, etc) it was helping them too so they didn't have to get rid of them. I get what this guy is doing but for anybody that is actually interested, just do like you said be nice and ask and don't act like they're working for you and owe you something. More times then not you'll get what you want.

Guarantee your kids will have great memories with them when they get older,I know I do every time I see them in a McDonalds now I think of my dad getting them for me. Ive worked in landscaping pretty much my entire life, its not retail but some of the home owners are complete d*cks and its not fun dealing with them when you already having a bad day. My sister, her boyfriend and two of my cousins works at my local Wal-Mart for about the last 6 months and I've heard stories from them that makes you cringe with how some people treats them and talks down to them.

Back to your disturbing action figure collecting fan fiction stories? I guess it's better than your gimmick of posting line up rumors that you got from the internet and telling us "your buddy" from the toy shop told you about them. also, the man "theman" wishes he was... https://www.instagram.com/p/CpCJr8dOc5W

Sheesh, this gimmick is super played out now. Glad some people got a laugh but I know I canât be the only one whoâs over it, right?
To the op, you definitely didnât even try because that wrestlemania sign comes right off the top of that thing. Bought the last few superstars figures on mine and politely asked if they minded if I purchase the top sign- said no you can have it and the thing slides right out of the main display.
